Unlike the other two yelpers who wrote the previous reviews, I am not good friends with Reilly and Miranda and I haven't been a client yet (Oh I do hope that I will be soon!) but they have done the engagement, wedding, maternity AND new family photo shoots for my sister and brother-in-law. I've witnessed them work and let me tell you, they are obviously the best in Vancouver! They are extremely talented and professional, and they were so patient during the family photo shoot (baby started crying at one point). I would recommend them to anyone!
Some people might say they are pricey, but a higher price usually comes with experience and quality, and when it comes to everlasting memories, I'd rather not cheap out by going with anyone less talented than this team. -

I dare you to look at Blue Olive's portfolio on their website and not fall instantly in love with their photography. It can't be done!
Reilly and Miranda are good friends of mine, but I am also one of their past clients and can't say enough good things about them, their shooting style and the images I ended up with after a session my boyfriend and I did to mark our 5 year anniversary.
Their specialty is urban shooting and if they want to take over and suggest a location for your session I highly recommend that you let them - they know of amazing spots and have an awesome ability to read a person and know what they'll want and what will suit them, location and style-wise. Professional and super friendly, they will instantly put you at ease, even if you're someone who can't stand being in front of a camera.
And did I mention how gorgeous the images you end up with are? SO. GORGEOUS. Seriously. Go look. Go now. So pretty!Listed in: Do Stuff!

Blue Olive Photography is a a husband and wife team of incredible photographers. Their work is eye-catching, unique and gorgeous - I guarantee you won't look at photography the same way again. Reilly and Miranda took anniversary pictures for my husband and I, and the pictures are amazing. If you think portrait photography is stiff, posed and boring .. you really, really need to check these guys out.
If you're in the market for something special, let Reilly and Miranda make some location suggestions for you - you won't regret it. You'll end up with unique images that capture you in ways you thought weren't possible, and you will look damn fine to boot.
Disclaimer: Reilly and Miranda are very good friends of mine, but I'd been a fan of their work long before I met them in person, and I am also a past client. My Yelp profile picture is one from the session they did for my husband and I! -

Hired them on as photographer for my portfolio. Fantastic work and a pleasure to work with. Did a fantastic job and the team here is very professional and a relief from the prototypical "I'm an Artist" type hipsters calling themselves photographers.

I hired blue olive to do a portrait session for my parents as a present. They were friendly, professional and accommodating! The studio is friendly (including a sweet cat) we couldn't be more pleased with the photo outcomes. I definitely recommend them!
