I like conveyor belt sushi...and I really love this place for the happy hour--good drink deals, and they change their drinks every once and a while, which is nice. Bar service is great, and helpful. Make a friend with the bartender and they'll make you a drink off menu-just fun.

its fun, easy, and you do get some good food. I'm a sashimi addict.

They have ok happy hour menu but I come here from time to time because the location is convenient.

New for this year happy hour is that you have to purchase at least one drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to get the happy hour price.

The service was great the last time I visited.

The service was prompt and very friendly, the place was very clean and had a college kid eatery-esque decor.  Standard conveyor belt sushi joint.  The little tea candles that kept the katsu and other hot foods warm going around the belt was kind of cute too.  However, the sushi seemed a bit pricey especially since a lot of the fish seemed to be sliced pretty thinly.  Kudos for the.... diversity and creativity of their rolls, although I couldn't bring myself to eat more than one of the concoctions.  I probably enjoyed the chicken katsu salad the most with the edamame and tangy salad dressing, which was the only memorable plate.  The tea was also yummy, but pricey.  I don't think I will go out of my way to come here but will stick with other favorites instead, because meh, ive experienced better.  Rounding down to a 2 because taste and price are a 2 where service is 4, and ambience doesn't have any real weight on my scale.  That and Blue C is now a chain, and the hipster-in-me looks down on that.

I really like this sister restaurant to Boom Noodle. It's a guilty pleasure for this foodie. OK, it's not "artisan" sushi now is it? There is no fresh toro, no "omakase menu" . But it's pretty cool, it's fast, it's on a conveyor belt, and they do have some tasty creations like the V-8 roll which is a vegetarian delight.   I love the layout of the place and the fact that you can get started eating right away. Because it's self serve the servers give you alot of privacy. You press a button that lights up a signal when you want service like on a plane. The price is also pretty reasonable too and you can see what your total is by adding up the cool colored plates.   I took my niece here who never had sushi before (!) and she loved it and still talks about it.  She complains that the other sushi bars she's been to since don't have the food circulating on conveyor belts! Blue C is pleasant surprise and I'm glad they are doing well.

I TIMED IT, it took about 5 minutes and 30 seconds for the belt to make one full turn!

This was my first time at this location, I've eaten many times at the one at Alderwood Mall. It was pretty full at lunch time, usually there can be a wait at peak times but we were squeezed in! There is really very little in the way of seating, some booths and some belly up spots. They serve beer and sake, and while I would agree with the fact that the food isn't amazing (it's pretty good but nothing super fancy) is that this is a great place for people who are new to sushi to see what they are getting. The conveyor belt moves the dishes (that are made freshly by chefs that are standing on the inside of the belt) around all the customers so you can just grab what you want when you see it! Dishes are color coded so you know how much each dish is. You can special request items if you don't see them on the belt!

People always freak out because they think food is just getting cold on the belt.
Should I mention that it's SUSHI! Cold raw food. I mean it's not left out all day.
I enjoy rotating belts and purchasing via color.
It's neat having a waitress but don't expect them to cater to your beck and call when you're at the conveyer, they bring drinks and ordered items, but seriously if you want sushi brought to you, go to a table or elsewhere.
The prices are higher than I'd prefer but it's good and I can go hard on some vegan sushi. Which they actually say on the cards.

I thought the selection was lame and overpriced. Seriously, $3.50 for four pieces of california roll? I'm from FL, but it wasn't like a california roll I've ever had. The spider roll was phenomenal!!! But I wanted a variety of sushi, not just one thing.

Expensive version of Sushiland.  Good quality, but still.  For conveyor belt sushi, this is not worth it.  Good if you need to eat Right Now.  But will definitely wait for something more worthwhile for this kind of money.  This a tourist trap.

The sushi is decent, it's definitely not top quality stuff like you'd get from an authentic Japanese restaurant and it's honestly a little bit pricy for what you're getting.  I definitely think the draw is more the ambiance than the actual quality of the food.  The restaurant itself is very stylish and hip and there are projectors playing videos on the wall which is cool.  The conveyor belt is also probably a pretty big draw, but overall I think for the price it isn't worth it.  I'd recommend checking out a more authentic sushi/sashimi experience.

I really do like this place but please, please do not go just before closing. There is more "belt than food" and I had to wait a very long time for a hot order and the waiter took forever to follow up on it. I frequent the U Village location and have found the staff to be very friendly but this was an especially rough night.

Needed a quick bite while shopping in the village so I stopped by. The sushi wasn't as good as before, rice was overlooked and they raised their prices. I only had 2 plates of spicy tuna rolls. So 8 pieces for $7.50. Pricey since you can get a higher quality spicy tuna roll at a fancy sushi place for the same price or less.

It's embarrassing how much I love Blue C Sushi.  I have been known to jump up and down with joy when the Hapa Boy suggests it.  I have passed up some of the finer sushi places with the whine - "Can't we just go to Blue C?"  It defies explanation, but there it is.  I f'love this place.

I love seeing the little plates dance by. I love watching the tiny donuts and cupcakes inexplicably mixed into the morass of little fishies.  I love how you can sit and eat within moments [if you arrive when there isn't a wait. That would be about 2pm.]  I love that the sushi is better than expected because my expectations are set so low.  The rice isn't hard?  SCORE.

I love the perfect music level and the wee baby outfits that I always want to buy for my friends with babies [which is nearly all of them right now].

It's so cheerful in Blue C Sushi!  And most of it is decently edible. It's fast food made [blue] green.

i used to love this place when it first opened. And then it gradually went downhill, BIG TIME. First, the last three times I've been in their soy containers are CAKED in sticky old soy sauce and "gross people" fingerprints, isn't this a health code violation?

And they offer Might-o-Donuts on the conveyer belt. I really love mighty-o-donuts, but to put them on a conveyor belt at a supposed "sushi" place is in awfully poor taste. I know we're in Seattle so "taste" is not our exact specialty, but let's at least try!

    Good. But anti-climatic.

I like going to this place when I am starving and cannot wait for my food to get to the table. Why? Because the food comes to you on a belt. Right away. No questions asked. But, the food is just ok. You get a lot of cooked sushi because it twirls around on a conveyer belt for half an hour and raw sushi would spoil. So, not my favorite sushi in the world. But, for a trip to the mall... definitely hits the spot.

Blue C good, but be choosy.

I used to love this place, sadly no more. There prices went up and service went down. Happy Hour might be good but that's about all.
It's a complete hit and miss. And when it's a miss, the miss is pretty bad.

(Once ordered a Krab Gukan. The guy gave me the wrong thing, argued with me, and then refused to make me what I ordered..  I was starving that day with Taco-Bell standards but paid for that one dish and left for another place..)

I love sushi with a fiery passion and have eaten 80% of the sushi places in Seattle, but this place makes me sad and depressed..

The other branches might be better but sorry, this place is over-packed and over-priced..

I hate for my first review to be a bad one but Blue C, Y U SUCK SO BAD?!

In the past I would only go in there to take it out and that's pleasant because I don't have to deal with anyone but myself and the person who rings me up. Done deal.

When I go to sit down the extent of service is water served to me and I'm expected to tip. K. Cool. Here's 2 bucks. Don't spend it all in one place. Your over-priced sushi I served myself could have been better.

NOW tonight is the experience that sent me over the edge. I will no longer be giving this restaurant my money. For the first time I was requiring more service than usual. I ordered a vodka soda to which the new server didn't know if they made. I finally got that after 10 minutes. Next we tried to get her attention to see if they could possibly make two orders of potstickers. She seemed confused by this whilst holding her tray that included a full glass of iced water that then spilled over my head all over EVERYTHING.

I sat there drenched and kind of shocked. She was apologetic and my friend and myself just tried to laugh it off to not be the assholes of the restaurant that just got water all over them. After the initial incident no one checked in. Not even the manager. The server came back (After a very long period of time of course) and said she got us 10% off the bill. 10%? How about you comp my whole meal since I sat through it in my wet underwear looking like a drowned rat.

I know she was a new server and it might not have been her fault but when you're in a customer service job you should be making sure you're doing everything you can for a customer. Especially one who didn't get mad at all at your mistake. I have worked in customer service and dealt with assholes that get their way and they shouldn't. I thought by being nice and forgiving I would be treated better. Apparently not. To be an asshole or not to be an asshole, that is the question...

Blue C has one amazing happy hour. You can walk out of here full for a bill around $3.00, I kid you not! Definitely try to catch their happy hour specials if you can!

On this particular day we got here a little too early to benefit from their happy hour specials but still had some amazing rolls at amazing prices!

We tried a variety of veggie sushi rolls recently made with soy wrap including:
-The V8 Sushi Roll: has a nice kick if you like a little bit of spiciness!
-The Avocado Cream Cheese Roll: Delicious and refreshing - 2 orders
-The Green Bean Tempura Roll: This was my favorite and I recommend it if you want to indulge a little bit! (See photo) It was perfectly made.
    -Edamame was fresh!

=$17.00 split by 3 people. Um yeah. I love it here.

I love Blue C Sushi, it's ambiance and this particular location does not disappoint with service, food and prices :)

    I guess I am on a Sushi Roll ...

I happened to see that this place had a happy hour, which seemed pretty decent, so I decided to go check it out. The people at this restaurant were ABSOLUTELY RUDE. We got in and said we were their for the Happy Hour and they sneered at us. The waitress made up some crap about "out of state licenses not being allowed by washington state control board" supposedly which is one of the worse lies I have ever heard. Apparently, every other bar in the state does it wrong according to her.

The food was decent, but the choice wasn't really that great. The prices were worth while, but the horrible servers were definitely a turn off.

At least the 2nd or 3rd best kaiten (conveyor-belt) sushi place in Seattle. This location can be difficult if it's a busy day at U Village, and it's definitely not worth a long wait, but when you're here and crave sushi this is your best bet.

What else is there to say? You get in, sit down, sushi rolls by you, you grab it when you want, and then push the little blue "call" button when you're done. Sushi's not spectacular but I've never had anything bad here. Not as cheap as some places, but I think that inspires some confidence (how good can $1 sushi really be)?

It's easy and convenient for groups over 8- you can reserve the big green booth in the back of the restaurant and simply walk up and grab what you want. The manager who took my groups reservation last night was a total sweetheart, and the staff was really nice. The food is decent- its conveyor belt sushi. You want the good stuff, go elsewhere. Plus, its vegetarian friendly, which can be good for groups.

It's a total pain with groups when its packed... But its U Village. Soccer moms and rich Windemere kids need to eat, too.

    Okay-

I am cheap- like CHEAP!  That I can go to Blue C Sushi and spend less than $10 for two people and have a decent amount of sushi makes me pretty damn happy.  That I have to deal with the attitude of the people in Blue C to do it... makes me a little less happy.

So you go into Blue C in the U-Village and if you are smart its happy hour time and you are getting a great deal on sushi.  You are immediately greeted by too many hostesses.  When you tell them that you are there for happy hour they cannot simply tell you it's in the bar and point you in that way.  No, that would be normal.  One of three ignores you.  Another of three tells you its in the bar with this weird attitude like they've been put out and the last of three snaps that its in the bar.  Wow.  If its such a tragic problem for your hostesses put in another entrance and I will go straight into the bar and skip that BS. Then there is the woman working the bar.  Still not welcoming.  Not helpful and not terribly attentive service.

On the upside, their california rolls (made and advertised with Krab not crab) are pretty good.  Their cucumber rolls, avocado rolls and I think the California rolls were all $1 each with happy hour.  The edamame was also $1- though honestly, for $1 do you know how much edamame i can buy and make at home.   Its cheap, decent sushi.  Its not portions that are to be in awe of... but its alright.

So, happy hour is the way to go- but then.... isn't it always.  The conveyer belt doesn't really do it for me and frankly the screens in this restaurant are too many and too distracting.  Also the bench-like seating in the bar might look cool (in an Ikea catalog kind of way) but its not actually comfy.  I may pop in, their food did not make me ill or particularly unhappy and their happy hour pricing makes me really excited.

Real mixed feelings to say the least.

I recently returned with a couple of fabulous Yelpers, and thankfully my experience was MUCH better this time.

Yeah, I know it's not hard to get "better" than food that doesn't taste fresh and a cucumber salad that gives me a stomach ache.... but it really WAS better.

The service was good and the items I picked out were tasty. Liked their drinks, too! So much that I think I had 2 or 3. (I'm usually a one-drink girl.)

It would take a lot for me to love them and I still think this is the worst of the Blue C locations that I've tried, but my second visit was definitely a lot better than my first.

Fyi- If you're there during happy hour and would like to get drink discounts, make sure you sit at the bar. I missed the "only available at the bar" section on the menu and ended up with a higher bill than I expected (and wanted). It was my fault for not paying attention, however, so there was nothing I could do but pay up.

Because of my stinginess over the summer at UW, I rarely binged on anything other than an occassional bento box from Ichiro's or a gyro from Aladdin (which is pretty good, btw, please check out my review of it).

THUS, when I popped my first sushi in over half a year into my mouth, I was probably a bit biased over how it tasted. Now that I look back, the stuff was "alright." The sushi boat stuff was mediocre; ingredients weren't exactly the freshest on the market, especially the sashimi, the selection was meager, and the price wasn't all too cheap either. Meh.

Blue C Sushi is A-OK. What makes it 3-star rather than a 2-star restaurant is it's decent happy hour.

The food they serve here is bland. Their sushi lacks flavor and the majority of it seems to be coming from the rice.

Skip the sushi - it's not fresh, edible or worth the price.

Be sure to eat the seared ahi and spinach though. The seared ahi is peppery, almost like a pastrami seasoning and the spinach is in a yummy peanut sauce.

Service here is pretty good. I got called doll and sweetie and love a bit much by the waitress, but I like that you can press a button whenever you want something.

This place has a good variety of sushi choices off the conveyor belt. There are definitely some inventive dishes like the Lobster Roll, Cinco de Mayo Roll, and Beni Jake Nigiri (Wild Sockeye nigiri sushi).

However, their prices for the better rolls are $4 and up for 2-4 pieces of sushi. This is well above the average for conveyor belt sushi places, and the flavor of their sushi is bland and not impressive. Honestly, if you want a quality conveyor belt sushi experience, better go to the Eastside to SushiLand in Redmond or Sushi Mojo in Bellevue.

Service here is a joke. Good luck getting your server to fill your water glass, I've had to "ask" them to do that every time I've been to Blue C. What a joke, it's not like they have a whole lot else to do at a place like this. They're not "serving" you the food - the conveyor belt is.

Blue C is kind of a scam if you ask me, with some decent (overpriced) sushi and cool, trendy restaurant space.

Yeah, it's Blue C Sushi.  Yeah, it's not the best quality sushi in the world.  But:
    a) The sushi, for the most part, isn't Bad.  I'm not concerned about my hygiene when I go there.  There might be some weird sushi or something in particular that doesn't look good... so you just choose something else from your many options.
    b) The prices are pretty great.  It is very clear how much you are getting for what you are paying, so you're able to have just as much as you would want and pay just as much as you would want.
    c) For me to want to pay more for "Good" sushi, it's going to need to be pretty freaking awesome to justify a higher price than what my budget can appreciate.
    d)  The conveyor belt.  Need I say more?

Also, the staff at the University Village location have always been polite and professional, and did not try to rush my group out even though we sat at our booth long after we had finished eating.

So, Blue C Sushi.  Not where I would go to try and impress someone.  But it is a fun, comfortable place where you can go to get sushi that is good enough for very reasonable prices.

Blue C sushi is so gross.

It was my introduction to conveyer belt sushi many years ago.  After going a few times, I noticed the sushi is often warm and not fresh.  There's nothing unique about the food.  Now I know that conveyer belt sushi is the McDonald's of sushi, but unlike SushiLand, this stuff isn't even cheap!

    I feel so robbed after.

My friends like to go here sometimes and every time, I just order a cocktail.  I don't want to take a chance of getting sick!

Nothing great here. There aren't many conveyor belt sushi places around Seattle that I know of so that is kind of unique and ideal if you are super hungry and don't want to wait at all. I think for the quantity and quality of food you get this place is way overpriced. Seriously, I've had better sushi from QFC or Whole Foods that was equally priced if not cheaper and you got a little more bang for your buck. They do have a pretty good selection of different options plus you can request items if you don't see what you want. If you go, get the seared ahi or the unagi.

Ok, do you want to have a 3 star time or a 4 to 4.5 star time?

If you WANT to have a blah time, eh.... then sit down on the sushi boat.   The selection is limited, the prices are higher, you can't get discounted booze and you end up watching the same things go around and around and around

If you are SMART then you will sit in the bar area and go for happy hour.  Now you can have fresh drinks made by excellent bartenders, a wider selection of sushi (you get to choose off of a card) and the prices are cheap. Oh and the service is way better in the bar.

    Hmmm... decisions.

bad experience with the sashimi here.. I came in around 8:15 and wanted to get a couple pieces of salmon.  It did not look that fresh but I ate it anyway now my stomache hurts. :( I was really upset at the lack of options and random desserts. cupcakes and donuts? i came here for asian food!

I now have to take my $ elsewhere for fresh sashimi. this is very americanized japanese food...come here if you want tempura type/cali rolls though.

better than sushi land but nothing amazing to me sadly!

I love meeting friends here for a bite. It's one of those places where I feel comfortable buying one item on the "menu" or multiple, no matter what my friends are doing. However, because it's a "see-food" place, it's easy to grab and grab, without adding up the costs as you go. Still, I love the atmosphere of this place, how fast you can get food when you're seated, and the prices!

The set-up is cool - the host or hostess will seat your party at tables or stools surrounding the outside of a conveyor belt that is snaking its angular way around the center of the restaurant. The menu on the wall is color-coded, so whatever color plate you pick up matches the color/price on the wall. Handy!

Last night (a Saturday), we were starving after hanging out at the Pro Wakeboard Tour in Monroe. When we got back to the neighborhood around 8, we headed here. It took about 10 minutes to be seated... there were only a few people ahead of us, and 2 tables that needed clearing. They may have been a teensy bit understaffed. However, it wasn't bad.

As soon as we sat down, we could start pulling plates off of the conveyor belt. The labels under the plates stay, but tell you what your options are. Not sure how much we spent, but I had a California Roll and Miso Soup ($2.25ish), and shared a Seattle Roll, a Spider Roll, and tried a piece of the Philly Roll. I love that they now serve mini Cupcake Royale cupcakes, too. To be perfectly honest, I'm not a huge fan of raw fish if it actually tastes fishy. I really liked the Spider Roll, and the Philly Roll wasn't too bad because it has cream cheese to balance the fishy taste.

A conveyor belt of ANY kind is usually not a good thing. Especially one that is carrying raw fish. I reluctantly went one fine December day of Christmas returns with my husband.

We wanted Delphino's, but the wait was too long, so we braved this place. I promised myself that I would not have fish and I stuck to it!

Service was just OK, but really nice and friendly   when they did come by. Food was so mediocre, luke warm when it should be hot, kinda cold when it should have been cold you get the picture. I mean it's on a conveyor belt for crying out loud. How do they do quality control? I saw they same noodle hanging out out the bowl going a round and around the belt. Also saw the same 15 dishes of ATLANTIC salmon go by. I stuck with miso soup, cucumber salad and a glass of kinda cold chardonnay.

My husband did the same. I had the best time however, with him!

This place is good if you want a quick sushi fix at a reasonable price. But you have to be willing to sacrifice some freshness and quality for it. It's impossible to know exactly how long the dishes have been going around on the belt...
