Alright, so I'm really not a pedicure kind of a girl, but this place had me convinced! The decor is lovely, the atmosphere is a little yuppy-ish (to be expected, I suppose) but the colour selection is terrific and the service was super fast. Me and my friend were seated quickly in ridiculously comfortable massage chairs (definitely a highlight) and had some very friendly conversation with our aestheticians (who also knew when we just wanted to talk to each other.) It was incredibly relaxing and the girl who did my pedicure was great - she kept asking me if the pressure/temperature/foot grating thing was ok (I have super tickly feet so I think I was probably jumping, and definitely laughing a lot!) she was really responsive and I know my friend's pedicurist was too (she's a huge wimp!)

I was super pleased with the final result and the polish had only just started chipping after almost a month!! Pretty incredible. I'd highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back!

I would not say I'm an expert in pedicure as the last pedicure I have done was last summer.  I bought a Groupon for deluxe pedicure. The reception was nice and attentive. Massage chairs were great. and the esthetician was quite detail in cleaning and putting on the nail polish. I was playing around with the massage chair and watching TV (they have 2 TVs) the whole time I was having my pedi. They have about 4 or 5 pedi stations so if they have enough workers one can have a small little gathering with fellow girlfriends. The decor is quite cute and with a high ceiling. It's one giant room with all windows on one side of the store.  Nice and roomy. I like it. Location is great since it's a block away from the stadium skytrain station and right across from the Starbucks at Tinseltown.

Overall, I would say this place is not bad. Would I come again? Sure.

How are your fingers and toes lookin', ladies? If you hesitated at all to answer, methinks it's time to head over to Bling Nails & Beauty Lounge. I mean, what girl doesn't enjoy getting her nails did?

My best friend and I happen to have birthdays that fall within a week of each other, and this year we decided to treat ourselves to a mani/pedi in lieu of exchanging gifts. Bling happened to be close to her house and highly recommended, so we decided to give them a whirl. I'm glad we did, because we ended up having a blast.

Upon entering the salon, we chose our nail colours and then were promptly seated in side-by-side massage chairs. We enjoyed a luxurious foot scrub and massage, all the while chatting away with some of the friendliest spa staff I've ever seen. We talked about politics, sports, travel, and ghost stories; it was SO much nicer than the awkward small talk and/or silence that I've experienced at other places. Our manicures and pedicures turned out beautifully, and I didn't feel rushed at all throughout the whole experience.

Given that it was a Saturday, we paid "full price" -a VERY decent $55. Mondays are apparently even more inexpensive at a low low $40 for a mani/pedi. Also, I don't know what's in the top coat they use, but MAN did the polish last forever! My nails are normally chipped within 24-48 hours, but my hands looked lovely for two weeks, and my toes lasted over a month. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself!

Finally, I have one small tip which I've learned (and forgotten, and then learned again) the hard way: pay for your service BEFORE getting your hands done. Nail polish + fumbling in your wallet for cards = disaster. Thankfully, my esthetician was nice enough to touch up my nails when I "pulled a Sarah" and messed them up within minutes. Thanks Bling!

    AMY IS THE UTTER BEST!

Let me start explaining I wear sandals 300/365 days of the year - saying my heels are rough are the biggest understatement I can imagine. I generally get a pedi once a month and it addresses the majority of the issue.

Today, however, I checked out bling for the $25/pedi deal. I think its expected that when you get a good deal like this you are going to get shoved in and out the door for base services. This was above and beyond. It did take an extra 15 to get in the chair but it was well worth it... she was thorough, efficient, and wonderful. I have never been so impressed with a pedi in my life. The nails are glistening, the heels divine and the experience perfect. 10/10!!!  I paid the same as my normal pedicure because I was so impressed and I will happily return in 304 weeks

I first tried this place with a Groupon, and unlike some other reviewers I had a great experience.  I've been here twice for a mani/pedi, and each time I've been blessed with great nails and great service, more than some other popular mall nail bars I've been to.

First of all they have massage chairs.  2nd they are fairly clean.  3rd--great location near Tinseltown/Stadium Skytrain Station.  My mani/pedi has lasted way longer than the ones I've had from other places, and I credit it to some really amazing topcoat you can't find anywhere else. I even asked the girl if I could buy it and she said no since it's some wholesale stuff they use.  Shiny shiny nails. Love it.

The service I've gotten has been great, even with my Groupon.  I never had trouble getting an appointment, and the girl I had both times was so sweet and meticulous.  She never hurt me either, and I have sensitive feet.  They have tvs in case you are conversation-shy, and they have good enough specials I would go back for more sans Groupon.

Only thing is if you plan on going make sure you have some time since they welcome you to stay and wait for your nails to fully dry.  NO smudges, and I'm a smudger.  Now if only my hubby would give it a try!

I went here for a Mani-Pedi with my friend a couple days ago. I booked an appointment through their phone line, which took a long time for them to get back to me. We played a lot of phone tag and I did find that a bit frustrating.

We were very excited to get a $25 deal on our Pedicures which definitely made it worth it to go. The massage chairs were nice, but I had difficulty figuring out the stupid remote. I did like the whirlpool for my feet, that was very nice!

The ladies did a great job on my hands, but I was not so impressed with what they did to my feet. I have one toe nail (on my second toe) which needs to be cut and buffers as it is quite high and the girl did not understand what I wanted done. So for that, the stars dropped a bit. Otherwise, the girls were friendly and the service was good. My friend's french-tipped manicure was nicely done! :)

Although all the services were nice, I felt as though my friend and I were a bit rushed while we had our Mani-Pedis done, as our feet and our hands were being done at the same time. Next time I'll ask to have them done separately, as I do like to enjoy each process and focus on one at a time!!

I can't say enough good about Bling Nails! I love the place - trendy and clean, I love the services - high quality and long lasting, I love the staff - fun, caring and experienced and always have something to chat about. And they never rush you out the door to get to the next customer (unless you're like me and sometimes are in a rush!)  Although the cost of a manicure is a bit higher than some of the other little nail salons, it is well worth every penny! I typically get the Bling Signature Nails - which are an acrylic nail with fabric underlay, and runs about $100, and I always get crystals added on for that extra bling bling. But the fact that my nails last for 6+ weeks makes it so I visit half as many times, making it around the same price as any other salon.

Got ma nail did n' toes did!  Holla!!

If you haven't noticed by now, it's a dude reviewing this place.  My lady wanted to give me an experience as a birthday gift.  Experience it was!!!  It was awkward at first, but my hands and feet feel so soft now.  Don't be jealous!

This place is like a lounge.  They go a few TVs, massage chairs (though my wasn't working ;(, and even Maxim to read.  I was gonna ask if we could find a hockey game on, but I'm only 1 man in a women's world.

Fun staff and very accommadating to my awkwardness.

shhhhhh, but there's free parking for 2 hours at Tinsletown lol

And no way I'm getting colour!

I've taken advantage of Bling's Tuesday $25 specials a few times and once for a regular mani/pedi.

My mani was nothing special and the girl didn't file my nails evenly even after I'd already corrected her once. I doubt I'll go back for another mani anytime soon. I've had much better luck with their pedicures which have always lasted me a good 3-4 weeks before any chippage.

The place is cute with large comfy massage chairs, polish colour selection is good, and most of the girls are super nice.

I go Bling for pedicures, and sometimes a biosculpt manicure. For a while, I went for acrylic set fills (I've since gotten rid of them). Linh is my manicurist, and she always does a beautiful job and is generally pleasant and professional. Try bioscuplt! They're just like acrylics, but there is no filing and they're soaked off, so it's not traumatic to your nails! Linh or Shanice can give you the rundown.

The office staff are good about phoning you back to set up appointments if you phone and have to leave a message.

I'd say their prices are comparable to other nail salons, but the quality is better by far.

The salon itself is very chic in its decor and very clean as well, always a plus. They have about three dozen gossip mags as well as two TVs up so you won't get bored.

In terms of getting there, there is parking in the building Bling is in, or in Tinseltown. Or you can use the Skytrain and get off at the Tinseltown station; down the stairs, and you're there.

I went here for a pedicure, and the place is very nice inside.  It's quite large, with massage chairs - although those are not really my thing.  Big selection of polishes with lots for sale as well.  The pedicure was fine, nothing special but the girl did a nice job and they all seemed very friendly and nice.

I'll definitely go again since the location is super convenient for me, maybe try a manicure next time.

clang clang clang goes the trolley, bling bling bling on the nails!

Bling lives up to almost all of it's expectations. I had a great experience here, but I must warn you that I have worked in the spa industry for 10 years and I have seen many spas, so I will be fair, but critical.

I booked a mani/pedi and when I arrived was prompted to pick out a polish colour and have a seat. Nicole did my services.  She was very happy and friendly. She explained to me that the reason she was an esthetician was because she loved people.  I felt the same way about being an Esthetician.  She seemed happy working there, which made me comfortable.  There's nothing worse than recieving a pedi from a girl who doesn't want to be doing it.  This is the main reason why I sought out Bling, because I was sick of going to the small run down nail bars on the broadway strip that didnt care about the service. Nicole was great. She was very good at her job and took care.

About 5 mins into my pedicure, Biff Naked walks in the door to get her nails done! She sat next to me at a manicure table and gave hugs all around the salon bursting with energy.  Later on I had a chance to chat with Biff. We shot the shit about Lady Gaga and the show later tonight.  She was going on about tour buses and how Lady Gaga has the most Blinged out tour Bus she'd ever seen.  Bigger than Metalicas she exclaimed, who all of its members had their own tour buses. She was a hoot!

From a business perspective, the business has upped the typical nail salon model in style and design, but the owner needs to focus on marketing and retail sales and maintaining a higher standard when it comes to the behavior of their employees. For example the girl sitting at the desk played with her cell phone the whole time and there was back and forth banter about who worked late and so and so a client did this. NOT CLASSY GIRLS. no one wants to hear this, even though I did confess that I was involved in the Spa industry to Nicole, it is unacceptable chat to bad mouth other clients. It brought my experience at Bling down a star.

The salon is clean, recently renovated (before olympics) and they have a prety well set up method of sanitation for their implements, which is boiling, not auto-clave as someone else incorrectly mentioned on Yelp.  They also use mini files and buffers that they throw out after each use.  I really liked this.  Even the foot paddles were stickers that were used one time only then thrown away.

Retail selection is near zero. I would have purchased my nail polish colour if they had it for sale. but their shelves had very little to offer. Hopefully the owner will step this up in the near future.

Overall, I liked my experience at Bling. It will be my current place to go to, but I'm still in search of my perfect mani/pedi frequent. Bling has fair prices and a great selection of options for your nails. I'd recommend it to the girl who would like to get good skill at a fraction of the price, but don't expect the royalty treatment, as they advertise.

My friend and I have a pedicure date at Bling and I was really impressed with the efficiency and speed. I like to get my nails done but I have a bad case of ADD so if I have to sit for more than an hour I will begin to twitch! Since my friend and I had not seen each other in a while we had a slightly obnoxious gossip fest and before I could finish my epic story my toes looked perfect! We had to finish our chat sitting on the cushy couches which allowed for ample polish drying (and likely annoyed everyone else!)

Apparently they have daily deals so it was only $25! I am never doing my own nails again!

After reading Mercedes's review of Bling, I had to check out the place.  And she is right. How blingin' it is...

The area is not that great, I mean it's not bad but it's on the edge of the downtown East Side, Chinatown and Crosstown.  So it's a mish-mash of corners.  I love the new building it is in and the services are very unique.  From all services including lash extensions, facials, massages, waxing and nail services, the comprehensive menu is appealing. What seals the deal for me?  The oxygen bar with aromatherapy and other oils.  After these treatments, I will be more blissful, shiny and brand spankin' new.

My friend and I went to Bling for the first time thanks to the recent Groupon for a mani/pedi. While I am by no means an expert on manicures or pedicures, I've had a few done, all at different salons (in particular two different Pure Nail Bar), and based on my experience, Bling was the best of the bunch.

Both services were for a decent amount of time, and I found the pedicure to be particularly well done in terms of exfoliating properly. But my favorite part was getting a french manicure done, and it was easily the best I've had. In the past, I've either been rushed to leave and make room for other customers (at Bling I was encouraged to sit longer under the fans to really dry my nails), the polish was poorly applied in the first place (the Bling technician did a great job with the white lines) or the polish chipped within a day or two (even a week later, my nails are almost completely perfect aside for a minor knick or two).

I'm actually so pleased with the french manicure that I'm looking at getting it done regularly, since it really makes my nails look nicer and my hands overall look more feminine. I would definitely recommend Bling Nails to my friends.

I'm sad to be writing this review as from the street outside this place looked super cute with a huge variety of amazing polish colours.
I took advantage of the amazing Groupon deal a few months ago which was $25 for a mani/pedi. Since this was a place I wanted to try for a while I purchased 2! (It was a great deal anyways!)
I called a few times to make appointment and they were always full which I thought was a great sign. Finally made 2 appointments for a girlfriend and I for a Monday. I had the groupon she did not. When making the appointment they asked at the end if we had a groupon or not. When I replied one did one didn't she gave a sorta of shrug on the phone. When asking what the difference would be she said a nail tech wasn't required and that an esitician would be doing our services. "huh" I thought.... Why not offer a new customer the best experience.
When we arrived yesterday (Stat holiday for some not most) There was not a single customer inside and most of the staff were sitting around eating their lunch. No big deal, people have to eat. We were prompted to pick our colours (in typical form) and got into our seats. 20 min pedi? Really?? When I asked her girl to remove a bit more of the dead skin (it's winter come on) she told me that the polish would cover it up. Um....not really looking to cover it up. Anyways the polish was okay it's all puddle into the beds of my toes, and this morning when I checked the bottom of my feet there is still dry skin.
The manicure was awful, when will nail techs stop telling you how your nails should look? They are my nails. If I want them short I want them short. This morning there is polish all over my nail beds, I have a cut on my right finger, and the polish is ALREADY CHIPPING.
The worst part of the entire experience was that the girl doing my service COMPLAINED ABOUT THE GROUPON.
That's what got me in there in the first place. I would have been happy to return if I had not felt like a second class coupon using customer.
Totally considering not using my second coupon.

I went to Bling nails on an impromptu pedicure run and got a good pedicure for $35. It was Sunday so all services is 10% off. I want to say it was great, but I can't, but it wasn't bad at all....maybe I'm just used to even more included: a better massage and a more thorough job of exfoliating. My feet felt dry and a bit rough an hour later.

Apparently, they redecorated the place recently. Still chic in black and white decor, Bling has a loungy feel. Unfortunately I couldn't see an oxygen bar unless I missed it. There are TVs on the walls and the massage chairs are comfy (be careful of the butt massage feature..it gets a little too close for comfort, thank you to Nicole for telling how to turn it off!).

Nicole did my pedicure and she was super sweet and careful. The tools were freshly opened from a sealed package and she explained everything as she went along. She did her best to make me feel comfortable, even offered me some of the pizza they had just ordered!

Bling has a wide range of services including non-chip nail polish, hair removal and eyelash extensions. Check out promo days: Monday mani and pedi for $40 and Tuesdays: $25 pedicures.

Two weeks at the cottage later, my feet are busted but my pedicure lives on! Impressive. Service was great and the day-of-the-week deals make it my best option. It's a pleasant atmosphere with smiling people in a convenient location. No cheesy rom-coms blaring in the background and we weren't rushed out after the bill was paid. (I'm looking at you Pure!) I bought several groupons from here because I'm a sucker for mani/pedi's.  (Seriously, if there's a mani/pedi only groupon type site someone knows about...hook me up!)
The service was slow.  Really, really slow.  I got in at 6:30 and didn't leave until 8pm.  I've honestly never had a mani/pedi take that long.  It wasn't so bad b/c I didn't have any plans afterwards but still...not my favorite part of the experience.
The color selection is extensive. And one of my favorite things are their massage chairs.  Though, I was told the last time I was in the store that they are remodeling so if there's no more massage chairs then I haven't experienced it yet.
Ok, so the flip side to my earlier griping about the slow service is that I called last week and had to cancel an appointment at the last minute (my fault, no one else's).  The woman I spoke to tried to accommodate me to even come in for just a manicure if I could so that I wouldn't forfeit my groupon, unfortunately my conflict wasn't so easily resolved, but I did appreciate her trying.
Overall, a solid experience though getting an appointment with them is difficult.

I haven't even been here yet.  I bought a Groupon for a mani-pedi.  When I called in to make the appointment, the girl immediately asked me if I purchased a Groupon.  I said I did and then requested an appointment time, which of course was unavailable and I could tell she was annoyed by Groupon purchasers.  So I called in from another number 2 hours later to make the appointment at the time I wanted and low and behold it was available.  But on the second call the girl practically interrogated me twice about whether the appointment was for a Groupon purchase.  My advice is to lie, get your appointment and only produce the Groupon at the end.  Sounds like the service and results are hit and miss though.  Sorry to hear Eryne O's experience with the Groupon.

I wish I'd got the name of the sweet blonde that gave me my pedicure.  She was so friendly and professional at the same time.  I went with a group of friends and we got to bring in our own bevvies and snacks for a little hen party.
When I first got there I chose my colour and was promptly seated in the most amazing massage chair ever!  My esthetician thoughtfully put some magazines to the side and hung my purse up so it wouldn't get wet.  Another friend came over to chat while I was being pampered so I never touched the mags but I appreciated the effort.
I always feel slightly embarrassed at these sweet little goddesses that have to touch my ancient sized 10 clodhoppers but they never seem to care.  To add to the awkwardness my feet are incredibly ticklish so I usually initially practically jump out of my chair then can't stop giggling.  She also gave me a wonderful calf massage and my skin feels so silky soft now.
I left with beautiful electric blue toes and a smile on my face.  Yay!

My neighborhood has recently been blessed with a lovely little beauty shop called Bling Nails and Beauty Lounge. Across the street from Tinseltown, Bling may be small but do not be deceived, they do everything here! Nail care, sculptured nail maintenance including the signature Bling Swarovski crystal applications, eyelash extensions, (THIS I must do more research on) semi-permanent makeup, eyelash tinting, hair removal of every sort including a male Brazilian wax, facials and back, eye and lip skin care (yam and pumpkin enzyme peel, sounds tasty!) and massage. Massage starts at $30 for 30 minutes for relaxation massage with an add-on of $10 dollars for deep tissue massage. I am very excited that there is massage available so close to me! I had a signature Bling manicure ($23 + tax+tip) and it was done perfectly. The young lady was polite and chatty but not too much so and she really went to all efforts to do a bang-up job on my ratty looking nails. I never used to go to get my nails done but it is totally worth it, and at these prices I can treat myself more often!

Give Bling a shout about their 'Bling Bash's, glamorous get-togethers for bridal parties, bachelorettes, birthdays, graduation and any other occasion you can think up! They provide complimentary snacks, cocktails and desserts along with your beauty services for a 5 person minimum.

Last but not least, Bling has an Oxygen Bar with various aromatherapy essential oils to choose from, each has its own medicinal property with lemongrass, eucalyptus, spearmint, lavender, almond and grapefruit. Any questions can be directed to the friendly staff!

I went there for waxing my eyebrows and removing my fake nails, it was fast, the wax wasn't very good it wasn't painful or anything but next day l had a weird allergy l had never experience before at any other place. They removed my nails very fast, it was good, but the girl filed my nail so careless she cutted the top of my finger :S

This is definitely a cute little salon.  As soon as I arrived I was handed a bottle of water and seated in an amazing massage chair.  I had a pedicure done, and was happy to see that all the tools used on me were sterilized in an autoclave (at other salons you just never know where those tools came from and I've definitely heard some horror stories).  The girl who did my pedicure was very friendly and did a wonderful job.  Probably one of the top pedicures I've had done in a while.  I had forgotten to bring flip flops so the girl handed me some to walk home in so I wouldn't trash my newly polished toes.  She even gave me a Bling tote to put my other shoes in.  I also had my gel nails done there too.  While the gel nails tech was very friendly and spent a lot of time trying to perfect my nails, I still found that my nails had bubbles in them and one or two are filed pretty crooked...Definitely had better! Other than that, Bling's worth a try for some nail pampering!
