This seaside park in Crescent Beach was the perfect spot to walk on a windy fall day. From the park proper, we first let the dog run off a little steam in the big off-leash enclosure. It was dry, because South Surrey and White Rock never seems to get as much rain as Vancouver and North Vancouver.

From there we walked down the beachside trail with whitecaps and windsurfers on one side, and gorgeous beachside cottages on the other. I was glad to be wearing a good windbreaker because a mighty wind blows in off Boundary Bay.

This is a popular beach area in the summer, but it's a good place for a flat, easy walk in the winter, too. You can go quite a ways along the trail, tracing the shoreline, or just a quick and out and back before dark.
