Clean motel with a small but well-maintained pool, large room sizes and some nice if older extras, like mini fridge in the room and a large microwave. The location is very close to the lake and tubing channel, in walking distance to many restaurants and a tennis court as well.
Other friends recommended it to us, and I would stay there again for sure. It's not fancy but it's a great price and clean, and the owners are nice. -

My friend found this place using Google Street View. He found a couple bars he wanted to go to and then panned down the street looking for a place to stay. No fooling.
It's the busiest time of the year. It's August Long Weekend and according to all the wineries we stopped at, this is the busiest weekend of the year. This place is really clean. Since there were a lot of people coming up for the weekend, we got three rooms... two with two queen beds and one on the bottom floor with a bed, a couch and a kitchen.
It's pretty central. There is a convenience store across the street, a nice Italian place down the block and within walking distance to more restaurants. We ended up walking to the channel to float down the river because it's so close--- but getting back is another story. If you walk in the other direction, you find the bars we meaning to go to in Downtown Penticton.
It's so reasonable to stay here, even during their busiest time.
