I needed a tux on very short notice but was leary of going here given all the poor reviews I'd read online. However, since it seems every other formal wear rental place in town has their suits airshippd from Toronto and these are the only people that have their own warehouse locally, I had no choice.
I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The clerk, JC was very friendly and very knowledgable. I'd never rented a tuxedo before and JC helped me pick out the right suit for the occasion, gave me great advice on what accessories I needed and didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need.
To be honest, I was thinking of bailing on the event based on the prices I was shown at the other places but I was really happy with the price I got here. -

I needed a suit on short notice so Black and Lee ended up being the only place that could do it.
I'm not happy with the fit at all - if you were hoping for something that looks like it's from the last 5 years, this is not your place. My legs are swimming in fabric. All told it cost $135 to rent a suit and pocket square (nothing else) for just one night - I found that hard to stomach given the outdated cut of the pants and average-mediocre fabric.
I guess that's the price I pay for not planning ahead, but if you have a couple weeks just order a suit from an online tailor instead.
