B2B was amazing! The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was terrific! I'm really happy with my new hairstyle ~ I will definitely be a repeat customer.
The stylist I saw was Julie -- she was AWESOME! :) -

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and the bride booked us into this hair salon for 5 people. The stylists did a pretty good job on everyones hair however my stylist was 25 mins late for my appointment! We had someone coming to do our makeup and then a photoshoot right after so timing was pretty crucial. The added stress of being behind schedule early in the morning was just the last thing we needed to start off the wedding day. However I was pretty pleased with what the stylist did with my hair but she did have to rush through it.
Be on time!!!! I actually think this was a problem with the receptionist as my stylist was really nice and she explained that said didnt even know about my appointment (not sure how credible of an answer that is). These appointments were booked well in advance and I would hope that most hair salons would ensure wedding-dos have some priority! -

New to Vancouver & I was looking to find a stylist who could manage my ridiculously thick hair. Tried Black to Blonde salon on a whim and was booked with Jess, who did a great job on my unruly locks. She's amazing with color, and has even managed to fix color damage done by prior sylists. Not to mention the fact that she's hilarious (no one likes a mopey stylist). Definitely thrilled to have found her.

I have been continually impressed with the high level of service at this salon. I come from clear across town just for cuts with Kanako. She and her team are great at pampering and looking after their clients. Everyone I have referred has also been impressed with their service. Also really enjoy the cappuccino they make for me with every visit.

I just moved here and was looking to get a pretty standard trim with some shaping and 'spicing up' since I am going through a grow-out period. After going to the same stylist back home for 5 years, I was pretty specific in my research. I happen to live close to Black 2 Blonde and saw that they sell some pretty great products (Aveda being one of my favorites). I went with one of their Junior Stylists, Laura, since I didn't need anything too fancy. She exceeded my expectations. I didn't have a very descriptive idea of what I wanted, so she was very helpful at giving me some ideas. She was very patient, chill, and meticulous. After cutting, then blow drying she made sure to go back through and clean up any pieces. Then she styled and straightened my hair providing great tips on how to style my new 'do. I should also mention that she asked me if I wanted more or less volume, shin, etc. before putting product in my hair. She explained each product and how it works without pushing a sale. The products worked great and my hair looked fresh the rest of the day and night.
All in all I went in not expecting too much and came out having an awesome 'do that is pretty versatile...style-wise. I will go back again for another solid experience! -

I went to Black 2 Blond for the first time this week to color my hair. My appointment was with Kim and I highly recommend her. She is very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and has years of experience. I was looking to darken my hair, which is naturally black with extensive light blond highlights. I pointed out a rich dark brown color I saw in one of their magazines and it turned out spot on. The salon uses Aveda products, which was my first as well and my hair came out a really rich, dark brown - exactly what I was looking for. Kim was very thorough and meticulous in applying the dye to my hair and was very careful to make sure there wasn't any dye on my forehead, etc. She also made me a latte and gave me a wonderful hand and arm massage. One of the greatest things about the salon is that they have the most comfortable rinsing chairs - they actually recline (like a recliner with a foot rest) so that your neck isn't resting in a rediculously uncomfortable position (yay! no more sore necks). There is also lots of residential parking near the salon, which is convenient. For those of you looking for a spa treatment, they have spa services as well.
