Review from Ellen T.
We decided to go to this restaurant after reading the reviews on Yelp and it did not disappoint. I tried the Elk burger which was very good and tasty. My husband had the sweet breads which he very much enjoyed. Delicious food and a very nice staff.
Don't miss it. -

Wonderful bistro in the heart of old Quebec. We enjoyed two separate meals in the same day.
For lunch, we tried the elk burger with camembert cheese, red onion,
lettuce, tomato and special sauce), served with fries and salad.
For dinner, I enjoyed the rabbit egg rolls to start, and veal chops for the main. I just can't get enough of the roasted potatoes.
The maple pie was a bit too sweet for my tooth. -

It's unusual for me to enter a tourist's restaurant and leave not only satisfied but also with a culinary "high".
Bistro Sous le Fort
Such however, was our lunch @ Bistro Sous Le Fort.
In a nutshell: we ordered two entrees that included 5 solids. Also ordered 4 liquids and one desert. We were disappointed by 2 liquids, one was sent back & the corrected version was barely acceptable. Out of the solids, one was OK, one was good homemade, 2 were really unique and DELICIOUS, and one was orgasmically good.
The desert was the surprise behind curtain 3.
OK, it's a very big nut. sorry. blog entry will follow.
PS: AC has difficulties dealing with a hot days.

My wife and i walked to this bistro in the driving rain when Hurricane Irene rolled through Quebec, and we were both glad we did. We both had the French-onion soup and loved it. My wife had the Salmon and I had the chicken salad. My wife's salmon was very good, but not drastically different from some other restaurants in the area. I had the chicken salad which was one of the best salads I have ever had. The chicken was covered in some kind of maple based sauce thats was outstanding. The bed of spring mix was a nice compliment to the sweet chicken. We also split a dessert. The mouse was surprisingly good. The texture was light while the flavor was rich. Would definitely come back to this bistro if I return to Quebec.

Wife and I started off with soup. The pea soup was outstanding. The onion soup was ordinary. Had the steak with a pepper sauce. Sauce wasn't peppery enough. Flavor was good but the quality of the beef wasn't that good. Finished with creme brulee which was one of the best desserts we've ever tasted.

We had lunch there and decided to go back for dinner. Don't miss the venison, cooked rare and served with a yummy sauce. Pasta with salmon is a bit heavy on the cream but consider it comfort food after climbing Québec's hills all day. Fish and chips were good...lots of moist cod and crispy string fries. Service was helpful and sitting outdoors watching other tourists pass by is fun. This is a cut above other places that cater to visitors...very good quality food at a reasonable price.
