Four of us had both dinner and breakfast here. Service was prompt and very friendly. Salmon was served with a buttery sauce and baked beets -- delicious. Pork was cooked just right. Cake was a little dry, but assorted creme brulé was fantastic. Breakfast was very good: belgian-style (not american) waffles were topped with cottage cheese and fruit; eggs were just right; croissants were buttery. Yum. Prices are on the high side ($30+ per plate for dinner; $10+ for breakfast), but worth it. Quebec City's restaurant scene has come a long way in the last 30 years, when going out meant Italian or roast beef.
