Top notch burgers, still a bit rough around the edges, but hey, they're new at this.
The food radiates attention to detail. The cooking staff have clearly spent time developing a menu that caters to the most particular of preferences. From the vast array of house made sauces to the home fried potato chips, Bin 4 demonstrates their desire to please. And please they do.
This place gets a bit crowded and the service staff seem sporadic an frenzied at times but one can expect that to only become second nature once this place has a firm footing in town. If you're looking for something new and exciting in town, look no further. Bin 4 accommodates. -

Second visit, and the burgers and service were just as good if not better this time around.
Wild mushroom burger was fantastic, but then again how could you go wrong with wild mushrooms and truffle oil?
One negative, they ran out of the Phillips Blue Buck ale. Whoever is in charge of their beer needs to start increasing their order. Both times I've frequented the place they've been out of the beer I was looking forward to having.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I heard a rumor that Prince ordered food from Bin 4 after his show in Victoria last December. And, as much as I love Prince, this place did not do it for me.
Victoria is starving for "it" places. So people get all aflutter when a new joint opens up. Apparently, Victoria is going through the "burger phase" of restaurant scenes. (Think: the savory version of the "cupcake phase") And, everyone is talking Bin 4.
They started out by giving the table free homemade chips. Great gesture. Everyone loves a free snack! I think they were supposed to be spicy but they tasted stale. Not enough spice or salt.
I ordered Bin-something, the Tuna Burger, and my husband ordered the Bin-something-rather, the Crispy Tofu Burger. My tuna burger was a flavourless mush. The tofu burger was definitely the better of the two and I would probably order that instead if I ever came back again.
Good things about Bin 4: nice staff, good drinks, and a variety of dipping sauces for your fries! However....
My husband ordered fries with his burger and was given an option for a dipping sauce. Again, nice touch! But.... He ordered the garlic aioli which tasted fine enough but (and, let this be a lesson to you budding restauranteurs) don't skimp out on dipping sauce y'all! That's sacrilegious!
And, now for my Prince-song medley:
I guess I should of known
by the lack of dipping sauce
that it wouldn't last.
I would die 4 more sauce.
This is what is sounds like when the sauceless cry. -
Review from Morgan H.
The burgers were juicy and fresh, and every different combination of flavors is thoughtful without going overboard. And Jesus H Christ, these are the best fucking onions rings I've ever had. Also, the salad was spot on (though nothing to gawk at). They could use more draft beers for a burger place but I was happy with the lighthouse ales on tap. Service was fine, nothing to rave about but I was more than happy with the whole experience. I'll definitely be back for the post 9pm special!

The service is majorly lacking. This used to be my favourite place until the waitress copped an attitude to us on our last visit. We had been 6 times and this is now our last. I don't know if she didn't like what we had on or was just in a bad mood, I was never more embarrassed of advising of my nut allergy. She was loud, did not make complete sentences and repeating my allergy, everyone in the restaurant heard. Let's turn the tables and see how she might feel in a similar situation.

- the atmosphere is pleasant, but we were left to our own devices for far too long (nearly 15 minutes!), the staff seemed to not know we were there after we had been seated
- wine appears to be served in clean glasses only by request, otherwise expect a barely washed vessel; a friend had a beer with a sesame seed garnishing the rim
- the appetizer didn't come until after our dinner landed (most restaurants do it the other way around)
- the menu looked very appealing, there were interesting food combination and ingredients; our food was mediocre, the prices are indeed fair...so expect what you pay for, or a little less
- staff were friendly, but not apologetic for all the minor mishaps - I'd never return to this placeComment from Sarah R. of Bin 4 Burger Lounge 12/2/2011

So I've been here twice now. In a week. That's a bit embarrassing, but it's really a great place. I like it a lot more than the Pink Bicycle which was mediocre at best.
The first time I went I had the Wild Mushroom burger and it was amazing. Big, sloppy, meaty, delicious! I had it with the Onion rings which were incredible. They're coated in Panko bread crumbs and served with a garlic aioli that is incredible.
The second time I went I had the Feature burger which was Elk. It was also awesome. That time I had a house salad with it as I'd had waaaay too much salt and fat for one week. We did have dessert which was the trio of creme brule. Yeah, it was as amazing as it sounds. Perfectly balanced, creamy and delicious.
The staff were great, they brought a pitcher of water tot he table without being asked, and were generally awesome even though both times we were there it was really busy.
I highly recommend it and if you are in need of a great burger, go to Bin 4 while it's still generally hipster free! -

I ate one burger. Then I had another. A desert burger. Same delicious gluten free bun with just cheese, meat, and they're 'made in-house' ketchup. Fries: meh. Unless you like those real potato nothing like miccy dee's shoe string crunchy paradise. These are the fat cut, kinda soggy type. I regret not going with bowl of potato chip side for kicks (also 'in-house'). Good side salad.
Bottle of Red Rooster CabMerlot (only at select spots) never hurt anybody...all for a surprisingly Under-Ffty-$ ...47.89...wha! After tax?! the vino cost 30, so I reckon they gave me a deal on the desert burger. I couldn't read the bill.
My waitress was patient with my eating disorders and was as tasty as the Spinach Aioli (put the Aioli's on EVERYTHING).
Thanks Bin4.
So much for loosing 20.
At least I got a local spot to watch some highlights and drink R. Rooster. -

Great service - friendly wait staff and hostess, made sure to check-in with us as we waited for the last person to show up. Pretty good atmosphere for the layout, which is a weird "L" shape. Had the tuna burger, could have been seared a minute or two longer since it was a thicker rectangle/trianglely shape, the sauces were a nice match but maybe one less creamy sauce would have been enough. The red onion rings are double rings and super yummy. The panko crust was crispy but a bit over fried by a minute. They don't have pickles yet but they let us know hey are working on it. Had a glass of the malbec which restored my red wine taste buds. Will be back to try the other burgers.

Great prices and lots of options. Burgers are available on regular or gluten free buns or with a stack of butter lettuce.
I had the veggie burger and the friends I ate with had a chicken burger and a beef burger. All were delicious.Comment from Sarah R. of Bin 4 Burger Lounge 11/22/2011

I was back for more today, and they were packed! Today I tried the Breakfast Club (pork and chorizo patty, bacon, fried egg, avocado, onion, cheese). So good!

The food and service was great! Went in for a late lunch on a Wednesday, around 2pm, was fairly busy, had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. A little pricey for what you get but will come back again for sure.

I'd heard great things from friends who had been, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in for a burger and fries, and it was anything but simple!
There were so many toppings and dips and options, galore. I'm not a big fan of meat (their options include beef, lamb and this month at least, elk), but they are great with substitutions. I went with the Bin 27 Burger: chicken (hold the bacon), brie, roasted garlic aioli and... balsamic red onion jam! Who knew it would be so divine! the fries were house-made, skin on and peppered... delicious!
The atmosphere was nice -dark in some places, light in others -great fixtures, too. Service was friendly -Elizabeth was great! I will definitely be back!Comment from Sarah R. of Bin 4 Burger Lounge 11/22/2011

I like this place. It's better of the burger joints in the city.
I ordered a "Mr. Bean" burger and a "Crispy Tofu" burger for my son. Both were delicious. I tried chocolate ale with my burger which is a great addition to go with it. Home made fries were alright but salsa with the tofu burger was really delicious.
