This place is a little tucked away and pretty unassuming from the outside, but damn, if you're looking for a good hearty breakfast, this is the place! Good solid menu of breakfast favourites. Word to vegetarians/vegans: You can get a vegan plate here, by mixing and matching some menu items. When we go there, my vegan husband gets homefries, toast (with housemade jam) and fruit and always leaves stuffed!
One time my dad got the french toast - he was literally presented with what seemed to be a whole french loaf's worth of breakfast! He said it was delicious.
I really enjoy their eggs benedict. Yum. -

I've now been specifically for lunch and while my overall opinion hasn't changed, I wasn't all that impressed with my dish. I ordered the club sandwich, which comes on a kaiser bun so you don't get that lovely stackable toast effect. The bun basically overpowers the deli turkey, tomato, bacon, lettuce and mayo. My mom had the soup (beef barley) which I tasted and enjoyed, although I've had better. Her hot roast beef sandwich was stacked high and my one bite allowed me to give her a thumbs up on her choice.
I would rather come here for breakfast (served until 11:30 on weekdays, all day on weekends) but I am willing to give the lunch menu another try. And I want to try their chocolate carrot cake!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Stopped in here last weekend also courteously of Jennifer's wonderful review! Came in just after noon for some all day breakfast (Although sadly they're only open until 3pm), but man was I ever impressed! I ordered the potato latke breakfast and it was amazing! Those little latke's are to die for, I honestly could have eaten just a plate of those they were soo good, lol.
The service was very friendly and prompt, I came in with 2 other friends so for 3 people our meals came out very quickly, and of course the food was absolutely delicious! Tried some of a friends Montreal smoked meat and it was damn good! I could definatly see myself stopping in for a nice deli sandwich. The portions are also enormous, I was stuffed after my breakfast, and could barely even eat dinner, lol. They also can make you pies which look absolutely amazing!! Picked up an apple pie slice and it was soooo good as well!
On that note I'm sure everything here is good. not to mention good service, good food, and good people! Will defiantly be back for more of those Latke's! -

Somehow, I didn't discover this place until just recently. Amazing! The Montreal smoked meat sandwich is as good as any I've had in Montreal, with reasonable portions and a country-home feeling. The pie prices are higher than I'd pay for a pie, but I was just there for lunch, and not in the market for desert.
With so many good places to choose from when eating downtown it's hard to know what to pick, but make sure to try out this place, you wont be disappointed. -

Took a chance and checked this place out based on the other review on Yelp. I was impressed! The breakfast was really good and service was excellent. I'll be returning!
