been here a handful of times, always for happy hour and watching a sporting event on tv. Generally good appetizers. Service can be a little slow, but prices are reasonable, noiselevel moderate, perfect for what I've been after.
We've had the beef brisket nachos 6 times. 5 times they've been out of this world, once the brisket was dried out.
Fries and onion rings I think.. All have been good. -

Very spacious dining room, and as it's on a golf course, has a serene and relaxing view. I only ordered a side salad, which was good, but the service was a little slow. This would be a good place for a business lunch.

Just finished having lunch there with a friend and the food was good. It's nice that they offer sweet potato fries as an alternative. For my first time there, I had the BBQ pork sandwich. The smoked pork is tasty and tender but it is not served with sauce (southern style). My friend said the chili certainly had some kick to it and was quite good. Nothing to rave about but, certainly nothing wrong with the place. Sure beats the stuff served at the chains and that's reason enough to go.
I'll certainly go back since it's so close to several customers, you can dine on the patio and there is a bunch of parking. This would be a very good place to bring a large group. -

This was a disappointing visit. The hubby drove us here on a whim for Sunday brunch. He remembered it as having great bacon and a great view, but it had been a few years and I think there may have been some major changes in management because there were a few snags.
I had a Chile Relleno omelet which was supposed to come with pepper jack cheese but was made with ALOT of cheddar instead, which really changed the flavor of the dish. It was drowned in canned enchilada sauce, and was infinishable. The side of bacon was tough but not crisp, and so salty our son wouldn't eat it. The hashbrowns were adequate though mushy. The toast, fruit, and scrambled eggs were just fine.
A major disappointment was the coffee, bitter but weak, even after a second pot was brewed.
Service was prompt, attentive, and understanding. Unfortunate neither of our lovely servers could do a thing about the kitchen's shortcomings. If this were a local place I may be inclined to give them a second chance because of the lovely setting but it is definitely not worth the drive from Seattle and we will not be back. -

I've been here a number of times for various meals and events and gave it three stars due to inconsistant food quality but would give the serive and setting a 4 stars. There are very few places in the area that do breakfast so we have come often for breakfast and I want so much to love their breakfast but it is never as good as it could be. I've been for wedding receptions and fund raising events and the food tends to be better. The new club house and restaurant is very nice but I sincerely wish the restaurant management would up their game and watch the food quality and speed of service. It's as if the manager is there in the evening so the morning kitchen staff don't deliver the quality of food that I'm sure they are aiming for. They do a very nice wedding reception though and they have a nice event space available and they do a very good job with hosting events with an easy to find location, beautiful grounds and lobby and very clean facilities at a reasonable price.

Surprise! Although you're drinking in the club house at golf course, they've got an excellent selection of craft beer. This made me happy.
We stopped by on a rainy Saturday afternoon in October. This being a bar/restaurant attached to a golf course, it was not surprising to find the place mostly empty. Not a day for golf.
We sat at the bar where we found the bartender friendly and helpful. A number of different football games were on the many flat screen TVs. Billy's is comfortable, with a lounge section featuring over-stuffed chairs and couches as well as a restaurant area with a more typical configuration of tables and booths. The bar is huge.
I ordered the smoked salmon cobb salad, which was fantastic. The crumbled blue cheese was rich and creamy. They did not skimp on the salmon. My wife ordered the grilled salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. She loved it. The rest of the menu sounded delicious as well. Lots of choices. The bartender gave us the lowdown on the happy hour, which sounds like a great deal.
Let's talk about beer. Apparently the executive chef likes good beer. The regular line up includes the usual suspects like Manny's and Mac & Jack's, along with swill such as Bud Light, Coors Light and PBR; however it is the selection on the rotating list that I found most surprising. Diamond Knot IPA, Ninkasi Oatmeal Stout, HUB IPA, Boulavard IPA, Alpine PIls, New Belgium Trippel, Scuttlebutt Ten Below., and others. The good stuff. A better selection than I've seen in some places that call themselves good beer bars.
Overall, we loved this place. We plan to return - golfing or not. We even talked about staging some sort of a special event here. This is a better place than you are expecting. A very happy surprise indeed. -

What great find sort of near the SeaTac airport.
Big windows with golf, garden views give you a slight country club feel.
Big bar, booths and great food and better service.
Sandwiches and burgers are very generous portions and just a fun place to have lunch.
When we discovered we needed to speed it up to catch our flight, no problem, our server but on the after burners and got our meals out el pronto.
Will be back. -

The new restaurant at Foster's Golf Course is now open. I have no idea who Billy Baroo might be or have been but he didn't spend a lot of money changing the interior other than moving the bar to the center of the space. Gone are the BBQ options from the prior restaurant. In its place is a more streamlined menu putting some small twists on standard American fare. What has remained is a service staff that is friendly and prompt.
I had one of the sandwich options for lunch, a chicken and brie sandwich served on ciabatta roll. The brie was well melted into the bread and the chicken was tender. I had mine served with potato chips that I swear might have been house made. They were kettle-type and quite large in size. Very nice.
My dining companion had the turkey sandwich which had cranberry sauce mixed with cream cheese as the spread. The sandwich also had, shades of the 70's, sprouts! She found it an excellent sandwich.
Prices are a bit high but expected for a golf course restaurant. There was an absence of the WOW factor here but you get a decent meal with efficient service.Comment from Corine C. of Billy Baroo's at Foster Golf Links 3/31/2010

I had my wedding there on 8/28/2010. They did a tremendous job making my very stressful day, less stressful. Kudos to the staff, kitchen, and especially Corine for a fabulous experience. They delivered a great evening and even helped with a very tardy/disorganized DJ... My DJ was 2.5 hours late and did a HORRIBLE job transitioning with music during my processional.. (his name was Phillip Gonzales, by the way.. never hire him or else you're asking for trouble.) But Corine just set him straight (well as straight as she could have.) and did the best she could do with this guy!
All my guests said the food was very delicious and were full by the end of the night... I ordered the salmon and jerk chicken with mango salsa--- the jerk chicken with mango salsa wasn't even on the menu, but they went out of their way to cater to what we wanted..
You guys did a great job!!! thank you again for everything! -

I stopped in yesterday(7-24-11) for breakfast. Ordered the ham & cheese omelet with hash browns and toast. I've had much better. The omelet tasted like it came from pre-mix batter, was not fluffy like most omelets are, the "ham" looked like it was from a sandwich package, the hash browns were nothing to write home about either. I can understand if they were busy but the place was empty as far as serving meals go. I'll play golf there, have drinks with friends there but having another meal? It will be a while before that happens again.

I didn't have high expectations of either good food or great banquet space at a golf course and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised by Billy Baroo's.
There are several banquet rooms that would be good for my meetings or social events - not to mention that coveted and hard-to-find-in-Seattle somewhat outdoor space. I've worked with their Director of Events before and she has proven to be friendly, efficient, lots of great ideas and honest. Not to mention the prices are amazing compared to downtown Seattle!
I had lunch in the restaurant. I'm not typically a fan of smoked meats - tend to be too heavily smoked - but the corned beef sandwich I had was perfect. Just enough smoke to give it a unique flavor. I've gone back for breakfast and cocktails and both have been a good experience.
All in all, I would recommend it for the food, the service and the banquet space.
Also - if you go at lunchtime on a Wednesday, you'll probably run into Shambo from Survivor! -
