This is a top notch yoga facility.
I really love the showers and free peppermint soap. Best deal for a super workout. They have the most classes of all yoga studios in town so you can really maximize your pass. All the instructors are friendly, you just have to ask them anything, I've never been led astray. I'm giving myself 5 years to be able to do this so I just go at my own pace and don't kill myself. Bikram is hot, very hot, there are many benefits besides the stretching. Thanks bikram Saanich, you are a class act and deserve top rating. -

Well I see my original review got filtered, I guess Bikram Saanich doesn't want any negative feedback.
I still live by my original review and would recommend practicing at Westshore or the dowtown location instead. I don't find the staff friendly at all. This studio has a snobby air to it and instead of greeting you when you walk through the door, they stare and expect you to say hello. Not a very good vibe here. -

I've always been thin. For over five years, I've maintained the same weight without lifting a finger, so I've never felt motivated to exercise. This all changed when my friend convinced me to join him for the two week trial at Bikram's yoga, and I've been hooked ever since. I've improved my balance, flexibility, and strength since starting classes here. Bikram's Yoga is a particular style of yoga, consisting of 26 poses performed in a hot and humid room. It does get sweaty, but the facilities are kept clean and (communal) showers are provided. The staff are friendly and remember you, and the instructors encourage you without being drill sergeants. They don't push you beyond your limits, and, since the classes aren't too large, they're able to focus on your form and give great instruction.
The two week trial is $40, and there's a donation class on Friday open to the community. I look forward to taking more classes here! -

I'm soaked to the bone, light-headed, aching all over, and probably stink worse than my bulldog (no, he doesn't do yoga). But I'm feeling great, and ready to crawl into bed after my 5th session at this Saanich location.
I do love it here (especially the exit on my way out!). The majority of the staff are very friendly and down to earth. Not giving it five stars, as my friends and I have come across a couple instructors that we feel are rather distracting in their teaching (if bootcamp is more your style, check these guys out!) and there's a big gap in classes between the morning and the afternoon a few of the days.
I usually go to the 7:45pm weekday class, and have found this one to be fairly busy (which if you'd prefer to be anonymous, I'd recommend this time). I did just go to the later 9:30pm class, and it was quite quiet so I got more attention from the instructor and ultimately ended up pushing myself much further than I usually do.
They still have the two week unlimited pass for $39, but only for newbies to the location.
Remember to bring your own mat, towel, water and dress appropriately (less is more, and avoid suffocating cotton). And ladies, remember to remove the makeup because you're about to be in front of a mirror for 90 minutes, and you're going to feel pretty self conscious once you're face has morphed into a smeared mess (I learned the hard way).
Have fun! Namaste!
