What a wonderful store, I usually shy away from trendy pet stores. But this place is friendly and stuffed to the rafters with cool stuff for your cat or dog. It is mainly dog centric but they also have a nice cat section and do not practice doggie elitism. I was happy to find that they sell my cat's favorite canned food B.F.F. 20 cents cheaper than Bosley's . And in looking deeper many products are better priced than bosley's which will price match. But I just like a store where they remember me and my cat. they also have a huge selection of raw foods also at very reasonable prices. Again Curie the narcoleptic kitty gives them 5 out of 5 hairballs plus a loving butt in the face for the wonderful service.

I'm not the kind of gal who would ever wear a garment, use an accessory or have a pithy bumper sticker on my car which involves the breed of my dogs but I have to admit that I sometimes wonder what is wrong with my dog's breed when stores never have anything at all that represents them. Big Dog Little Dog has allayed my Insecurities and when I absolutely lose my mind and want to wear Norfolk Terrier socks while writing cheques with my Norfolk Terrier pen in my Norfolk Terrier cheque book I know where to go to get all of that.
Beyond that, they have a really nice assortment of special baked goods and treats for your dog. The store is literally stocked from floor to ceiling with anything and everything that your dog might need, although it is so full of stuff that it is a little overwhelming. The staff were all very helpful and friendly to humans and dogs alike.Listed in: It's A Dog's Life

Love this place! The owner Christine and her staff truly care about the well-being of your fur-babies. Christine made a point of informing me about healthier options for my cat - I'm sure the recommendation has added years to her life, and life to her years! The staff are excellent as well - knowledgeable as well as consistently courteous and friendly. If you want to give your furry kids the premium products they deserve, this is the place to go!

Stores like Big Dog Little Dog Bakery make me love my 'hood. They have become part of my weekend routine....up at 8, walk the boys, chai latte (thanks much), English Bay and then a swing by BDLD. I'm not sure exactly what time they open, but it's a little earlier than most of the local retail shops.
They have an fantastic supply of toys, treats and things my dogs think they can't live without. Their staff is delightful (especially Carol)...helpful and informed, they have practical suggestions regardless the topic. They are patient with my train wreck of a golden that steals toys off the shelves and upends displays with his tail. They are also willing to special order items...a few weeks ago I was commenting on my dog's rubber collars and how much I like them. They liked the product too and immediately made arrangements to carry the line.
And if you spend $100 you get a free reusable bag that's a great size and stays on your shoulder perfectly.

The store is packed with an amazing selection of toys, accessories and premium treats. The reason why I give it a 5-star review is the product knowledge of the store manager as well as the selection of raw foods and bones in at least 9 (if not more) freezers.
For any purchases, you get a point for a dollar spent. Each point is worth 1¢ and you can redeem your points anytime towards the purchase of anything.
We noticed the store every time we walked down Denman today. We decided to pay a visit today and this might be where we will grocery shop for Bobby from now on. He got a bag of buffalo ribs from our shopping today. -

Everytime I walk my dog on Denman Street, I always bring my dog to big dog little dog bakery for some treats. They have very cute cookies there and healthy treats. The staff are super nice too. My dog always pulls me to this store whenever we walk close by.

great little shop ... good selection ... nice doggy clothes at good prices ... staff very friendly ... last christmas eve was my dogs 10th birthday and they did a custom cake (grain free!!!) for my dog with no notice whatsoever ... the hand-made party hats were the cutest (and cheaper than 3 Dog Bakery) ... i love checking this shop out and seeing the great selection of doggy stuff :o)
