Delicious simple sandwiches! Great for a quick lunch.

I have no problem paying for a sandwich that I can make at home. I do have a problem paying $7 for it. Nice place with nice service, but the prices are WAY to high for what they offer. I ended up paying close to $11 for a SMALL sandwich, chips and a bottle of diet coke.

Very meh experience. I walked in with some medium expectations and left kinda blah. The sandwich shop itself is very small, probably seating a dozen people if full. The menu was impressively big, going 3 columns long on sandwich options. It took me a while to decide, but I finally landed on the Cutlet which is their Armenian Burger. I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered a large (which was a $1 more than the regular) and skipped the fries because A) They were $2.25 for not that big of an order and B) I was getting a large burger so I assumed I'd have enough food.....well you know what they say about assumptions! http://s3-media2.ak.ye...
The burger consists of a breaded patty which was (oddly) quartered in the bun. It had a kind of meatball/meatloaf consistency to it and was too small for the bun. Secondly it was pretty bland and didn't have a satisfying burger patty texture to it. Also on the burger were tomatoes, onions and a diced parsley (instead of lettuce). All of this is between two toasted super soft buns that are pressed (almost like a cuban sandwich). On the side is half a pickle and a pepperochini. I was pretty shocked at how small the burger was... especially considering that I ordered a large (thank god I didn't order the regular). Overall, there was nothing really special or memorable about the whole thing. Nothing was butchered or bad, just not that tasty or interesting. And for the price ($9.50 for a large Cutlet and a can of pepsi) you can do a lot better elsewhere for a lot less.Listed in: Burger Me This, Burger Me…

Just OK Sandwiches. Zero Customer Service.
I've been going there for couple of years now and bringing my co-workers with me but No more. The guy who runs the business has absolutely no manners, nor a standard customer service manners to know how to talk to his customers who bring business to his store. He simple lashes out on people who park behind the building under BIG BITE'S Parking sign he puts there, calming that's not for customers. When i pull into a restaurant and there is sign posted for that business, it MEANS, CUSTOMER PARKING!!! but there is no point of arguing with this rude man. I will take my business somewhere else where i get treated with smile, positive experience and less expensive sandwiches that I can actually make it at home. -

Great bread. You need to get it as a "italian panini" and it crisps the bread really nice. The atmosphere is cool, there are stacked "illy" cans and soccer paraphenalia all over. Also there was a soccer game going on and there were five dudes eating and watching the game. Super cool.

cozy little place to go to for a quite sandwich, haven't tried everything on the menu yet but I usually always end up getting the german sausage sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, tuna melt, or turkey.
I would just get the large because it's only a dollar more and it's twice the size of a small. It is kind of pricey for just a sandwich but they're pretty good.
This place is also for soccer fans because the TV is usually always on a soccer game.
Seems like family own, the gramps r pretty nice and the son is really cute.

Love this place! A little hole-in-the-wall deli run by a very warm and friendly couple. The sandwiches are made with tasty ingredients and pressed for a good crisp toasting of the bread. All your regular deli options, plus some rarer items like tounge. I also enjoy that they have my favorite brand of chips, Dirty, and Mexican Cokes. If you enjoy soccer, they always have any soccer game that may be on playing on the TV. The place is tiny, only three small tables inside, but never seems too small, and there is outside seating as well. I try to go here every week or two for lunch when I work in Glendale. Prices are excellent, often costing me right around $10 give or take before tip. Off the main drag of Brand, it is a little gem not to be looked past.

I LOVE Big Bite!! I mean LOVE!
Whatever they do to the bread is amazing...it's perfectly crispy and chewy and perfect.
Despite being wary, I tried the Beef Tongue sandwich (they guy who works there said it was HIS fave) and my, Lord, was that the best sandwich ever!!
I usually opt for the SMOKED Turkey sandwich and add onions... SO BOMB!!!
My bf gets the tongue and we try to share each much of each other's as possible, but they are both so good, we don't want to stop eating our own!
The people who work there are so sweet and know how to stack a proper sandwich.
Sandwiches there that i DONT care for:
Cold Veggie and the Chicken Breast ... kinda bland...
But, they have this delectable garlicy sauce theat they spread on the perfectly grilled bread....so DANK...
Order a LARGE if ur hungry for a buck more...money well spent...more meat and a bigger overall sandwich....
Oh, yes, each sandwich also comes with a super sour picke and spicy pepperochini! YUMMY!
If you've driven by this gem on Central and haven't checked out, DO IT!!
I am a sandwich freak, which is the only reason I mosied on in one day and I have been back over 20 times in the last 4 months.
lemme know what u think!!

I'm at a new job so I've been trying all the local eateries. As I strolled down Central I decided to try Big Bite, a sporty sandwich cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is plastered with all flavors of soccer memorabilia and a collection of Coke bottles from around the world.
I decided to try the Chicken Breast Panini sandwich. I asked the older gentleman behind the counter what the size difference was between the small and large sandwiches. He said he'd show me and produced two flat rolls of equal size. I was waiting for the second size until he showed me, by shaking each respectively, that he was holding both sizes. When I asked which one was bigger he replied, "this one's thicker." It was true, that one was about a quarter-inch thicker but identical in diameter. He said that the large is also 'piled higher' so I decided to try the large.
I grabbed an imported Mexican Coke bottle out of the cooler (bonus points for stocking that) and a few minutes later I had my sandwich.
After returning to my office I unwrapped the noticeably-warm tin foil that encapsulated the disc. To my surprise it was very, very flat. Pre-sliced, I grabbed a side for a closer look. It was indeed piled with the ingredients listed on the menu (sun dried tomatoes, chicken & pesto mayo) but was far from high. In fact it it looked more like a children's menu sandwich. Nevertheless, it looked good.
A few bites into my journey I experienced a lunch sensation I dread; longing. The chicken had no flavor and the bread was incredibly thin and cooked past the point of crispy and into the territory of burned.
Judging by the other review of Big Bite I must have gone on an off day or should have tried another sandwich. Although with all the choices in a 3 block radius I'm not sure I'll make it back.
But the Coke was good ;) -

Wow, this is was a hidden little gym not near anyone but I'm absolutely going again very soon!
It's not in the best location for people traffic but if you don't mind walking off the usual beat and path, you'll run into this little sandwich shop!
It's super small inside but these sandwiches are way better than expected! I had a really good breaded chicken sandwich with tomatoes and egg on top. The olive oil they are using is superb!
Sandwiches are between $6-9 on average and a meal can run around $10-13 with chips and a drink.
Go! It's worth it! -

Tried the German Sausage Sandwich and found it to be great, however, the tomato and lettuce did not compliment the other ingredients and flavors. Next time no salad on the Sausage Sandwich. The roll was deliciously fresh and heated to perfection with just the right amount of grilling on the surfaces.
The restaurant is older but very clean inside, polished stainless steel everywhere in the kitchen that was not new but it sure sparkled. There is quite a variety of sandwiches, so everyone can find something that will meet their taste cravings. -

This place a nice little hole in the wall... I love holes in the wall.
Sandwiches are above average. They aren't the greatest, but they are very good. I had the Tongue Sandwich there several times and it is out of this world. That one sandwich they have is unbelievably good. Now if you're a squeemer and can't take adventurous foods, then the rest of the sandwiches are pretty much just a bit above average. The other positives of this place are that it's a Soccer (FUTBOL!) Haven. They show all the Premier League, Italian League, and Euro Cup Games. During World Cup time the place is packed with FUTBOL fans. And they also have Mexican Coca Cola which tastes way better than American Coca Cola, because it's made from real Sugar Cane as opposed to processed sugar...
If you love soccer, some tongue action, and Mexican Cola, this is the SPOT! -

This place is famous for its persian armenian sandwiches. Its been around for many years, probably the 1st one who started serving such sandwiches in Glendale. I have been here many times and the sandwiches are only OK. As far as prices, it can cost up to $15 for a sandwich, french fries, and coke, anotherwords, too much for an old sandwich place. However if you must absolutely have such a sandwich, try a couple of new, better, and more reasonably priced places such as the Glendale Cafe and 1242 W. Glenoaks across from the Glendale DMV.

4 stars for their tongue sandwich.. 2 stars for being a rip-off.. equals out to 3 stars. As you may know, there aren't a whole lot of places that serve beef tongue sammies. This place does. Being of Eastern European/Middle Eastern decent, I've eaten some beef tongue in my day, including in the Middle East, where they do tongue sandwiches right. Their tongue sandwich is right up there, really. I KNOW it sounds gross, but what's really so gross about it? We eat cow's thigh, but we can't eat other parts? IT'S THE SAME COW! Lol. Anyway, tongue is really awesome if made properly, it's really got a great flavor and soft, tasty texture. Don't call me gross for saying that. However, it's going to be like 10 bucks if you buy a drink. It comes with like half a pickle and a tiny pepperoncini. RIP OFF, seriously. No side, no nada. If they lowered the prices by several dollars, or added some sides, I'd go more often. As it is, it's truly too much for mediocre sandwiches (except the tongue, which is pretty great). If you want to try beef tongue, GO HERE. If not, SKIP IT. Place is quite small, a bit older, a couple of outdoor tables.
