Review from Kazuma K.
This is right next to the Alexanderplatz station, and it definitely is easy to stop because it has tiki-torch things that line up the stairs to the entrance. At first, it looks like a place that is capitalizing too much on its proximity to the TV Tower (it has the TV Tower in the logo), but once you go inside, it's pretty awesome.
It's a very beer house atmosphere - there's some fake trees, real big candles on each table, a shiny brewery in the middle, etc. It gets pretty crowded, and it's actually full of local Germans (I think). You would think it's a touristy place but it actually isn't.
The food here is really delicious. I got sausage, duh. And beer - that was good too. I think it's an inhouse brewery. Prices aren't bad either! Service was great (English was great).
It's a really great atmosphere with good food and good prices. And next to the station! -
Review from Leighton S.
Located in a shopping center in a commercial district, the Brauhaus Mitte has, not surprisingly, a fairly commercial feel to it. It's nicely laid out and the servers are efficient and English-speaking. The beer range is standard for Berlin, and the quality is about average. On NYE 2011 the place was fully booked at 4pm, so there you go. Worth checking out as it is a brewpub and the location is very convenient.
