I LOVE YOU BETSEY
All Betsey lovers and shoppers alike, this a VERY IMPORTANT SHOPPING TIP:
never buy from Betsey Johnson stores. Ever.
You must go to Winners (Canada), Ross Dress For Less (U.S.) or Nordstrom Rack (US) to get top-notch deals. I am telling you my personal shopping secret. So please, use it to your advantage.
For example, I bought Betsey earrings at Ross for ten dollars (priced at $25 at a regular Betsey store). How about a bag for $15 from Ross priced at $50 at a Betsey store? -

Ahhh Betsey Johnson - or as I like to call it, Diva Disneyland. Seriously. If you asked the four-year-old princess version of yourself to design a shop (and clothing), this would be it. It's pink, it's edgy, it's cute, it's quirky - there's glitter and poofiness and rhinestones EVERYWHERE.
Oh yes. This is the happiest place on earth.
Or at least Alberni Street.
Whenever I am in this area of town, I have to stop in - even if 99% of the time, it's just to wistfully browse and dream. Betsey Johnson is one of the few designers I have loved consistently for years, and a gift from here can make my entire year. After years of collecting, I now have my little teadress, and I have my little coat, and I have my little bag - and they help make my little life a little more lovely!
And also - they do layaway. Bliss, thy name is Betsey. -

Betsey! You know what I want? I want a dress. One with a big pouffy skirt and a cutesy colourful print and a bright bold top. I want it to bounce like you do when you jump onto the runway. I want it to float when I attempt a Johnson cartwheel. I want it to make me feel the need to twirl like I did when I was a 4 year old aspiring dancer. I want to be inspired by bubblegum, the colour pink and billowing tulle.

This is a great store. Their service can't be beat!
I went in to have a boo around, I was shopping for an event. Sadly, nothing had me falling head over heels in love this visit, but the service was amazing and the next time I'm in - I'll definitely pick up something. The sales people are honest and the clothes are great.
Stop in for great fashion, and great service.
I heart Betsey and this store really and truly represents her spirit! -

Ah, Betsey Johnson. Your store is my favourite place in the whole wide world to torture myself.
It isn't often that I walk into a store and want (literally) every single thing for sale. I am the pickiest person on the planet, and you are a dream come true. Sadly, your price tags are my nightmare. But I won't take any stars off for that. I love your abuse too much. It isn't your fault that I'm a broke ass student.
One day, when I am filthy rich, I will adorn myself in nothing but Betsey Johnson clothing. Even to go grocery shopping and take out the trash.
This store carries everything from beautiful sequined/beaded and faux leather clutches and wallets to wonderfully poofy and extravagant party dresses fit for a princess! She even has a line of simple, yet elegant outerwear that anyone can wear, without feeling overdressed in the least. (Don't worry, she has some marvelous faux fur and wildly colourful jackets as well)
You can find all your fashion accessories here, from nylons to belts, watches to funky jewelry, eye wear to lingerie, handbags to fragrances.
The employees at this location are very eager to help without hovering over you and making you uncomfortable, which is always a bonus.
If you spot an item you badly need, but your size isn't in stock, they will order it in for you immediately from another location, for a $20 charge and you'll have it in less than a week. I was told 2 day FedEx Shipping when I inquired about a jacket for my awesome roomie.

Great location for this shop. I love Betsey! The sales clerk was friendly and helpful. The selection was decent. They only order one size for each shoe, so a lot of the shoes I wanted were not in my size. All in all a good experience. It would be awesome if they accepted the discover card too.

One of the few designers that can bring me to my knees, squeal with joy, ooh and ahh, all while drooling (and gasping over the price tags).
Anytime I feel a little blah, a trip to Betsey will fill me with glee for the rest of the day. It's like a Sweet 16's birthday meets fancy ball spun together with threads of whimsy, pretty and playful.
The sales rack in the back is where I tend to be pulled to, you never know what kind of steal you'll be able to find. Don't be afraid to ask for your size, they usually have more in the back. -

I love New York designer Betsey Johnson. While some of her styles are a little, well, "out there," for my liking, BJ's definitely my go-to girl for FAB dresses whenever there's a P A R T Y that needs attending. Her fashions are rainbow-coloured and playful, with plenty of '80s-inspired Cyndi Lauper references (think bright florals, lace and petticoats).
On Alberni Street in downtown Vancouver, the Betsey Johnson boutique reflects her quirky takes on fashion: bright yellow walls, pink floor tiles and floral-print wallpaper offer the perfect backdrop for racks of jaw-dropping dresses.
Still, the focus remains on the clothes. The sales associates, who are as bright and cheery as the shop, will help you find what you need ... or what you just want! -

I need a party to go to! Betsey Johnson is a Technicolor dreamland for the little girl in you, along with a few sexy numbers to reign in the rainbows and lollipops. Betsey's unique sense of style and whimsy is often beautiful, sometimes silly but always uber-cute! She offers snazzy shoes, bags and jewellery too. I love to come here just to peruse, even if my pocketbook isn't ready for the hit. Betsey Johnson is a ray of light on a gloomy day!
