Location is what brings everyone to this budget hotel. It is in it's category which I suppose isn't so bad if you only plan on just crashing.

Free parking with the lot wrapping around the hotel so there is always room.

We had 2 rooms. I on the first floor(queen/full & no microwave) and the second floor(king bed+microwave).

The great thing about the first floor is you have access to the parking lot. So the windows are just sliding doors. This is really convenient for sneaking in large groups, smokers and/or lazy people who don't want to carry their stuff more than 10steps.

The furniture was very dated. Each room came with a coffee table, mirror and working table/chair. Mini closet with iron+iron board, mini fridge and a 15 year old couch in 70's design with texture that could also be used to exfoliate skin. The beds are comfortable and this is to stress the point that the level of comfort this hotel provides is with just basics. While the decor was leaning towards tacky, the comfort definitely wasn't questionable. So, for a night of crashing, it's pretty comfortable when you don't have to worry about smudging liner on your pillow case.

The tv was a decent size but no BET?. No deal.

The parking lot wasn't full and there were a few older people around  so this could explain why the noise level was cracked upto 'crickets'.

The bathroom was decent. Tub shower, hot water ran fine but the lighting was strange. One switch was a light and a heating lamp. The other switch was just the lights above the mirror. There were the standard 2 sets of towels. I cant say much for the quality but it's pretty handy for hungover/after-puke cleaning showers.

The location was conveniently located minutes away from Wendys,Tim Hortons, gas station & McDonalds.

The staff were pretty friendly and really well on time with calling cabs and extra towels etc.

The complimentary breakfast from 7am-11am was definitely not worth waking up for . No eggs, just a few fruits, hard tiny muffins, cereal and toast.

Overall the stay is good for last minute or last resort. I would not recommend this for romantic date, any getaway or for comfort. The 2 stars shouldn't be a shocker but what IS shocking is how cute the house keeping girls are?. Adorable, bubble, perfect hair and spoke perfect English. In all my years of staying at hotels I had never come across this.

Thank you Barrie, for the interestingly confusing experience.

    xoxo
