Review from Nikki J W.
Spent 3 nights at this hotel recently. The front desk service was very friendly. Coco and Sara (aka Chanel) were fabulous giving us food suggestions for our first night stay in Vancouver and just real fun girls. I wish they worked everyday. Our room was in the corner so there was this little hallway as you entered the room that really took away from the size of the room which was a downside. But the TV was nicely sized with cable. bed was comfy and we received servicing daily which was nice. At this particular time there is construction going on around the hotel so it's not the prettiest around the hotel but who cares. Parking was cheap compared to other hotels in the area or deeper in downtown. OH...they also offer a free shuttle only IN TO downtown but gotta book like atleat an hour ahead of time bc it fills up quickly. I'm a fan of Best Western...i'd stay again!

Check in service was so so...the guys weren't really friendly... This hotel is a great location.. Its a short taxi ride from the cruise ship ports... The hotel offers free shuttle service to take you to downtown if needed.. Its a good location.. a couple blocks to the ferry to take to Granville Island or you can get the public transportation which is also a couple bucks to take you around... Its located on the corner of Granville and Drake St... Granville has everything you need..All the bars and clubs are located on this street and Robson is located a couple blocks down too for shopping.. GasTown is a further walk, but it's not bad...you can always take advantage of the shuttle service...
The room are okay, kinda small... There's a microwave and fridge if you need one.. The downer is the crappy a/c.. That thing makes so much noise and doesn't work properly... The hotel also provides free wifi, which comes in handy for those of you traveling from the States and don't want to be charged roaming or data..
If you get a chance, go to the top and check out the view...It's pretty nice up there. -

AWESOME LOCATION!!! I mean, AWESOME. Close enough to all the ruckus but none of the noise (if you are trying to sleep...)
7-Eleven across the street.
Free WIFI is a tad slow.
Fridge is nice and cold.
Not your "luxury" suite but just enough amenities for a weekend of sight-seeing and clubbing.
Has a gym and sauna. -

Best Western, your staff is amicable and helpful. Your functionality? Less than to be desired.
I know, I know, you get what you pay for. I like the location, close proximity to downtown, the water and a leisurely stroll to Robson Street. I only wish I knew it was the section of town where the white t-shirts and baseball hats roamed. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "WOOO!" somewhere while walking. Please someone warn me before the next time I turn the corner and Abercrombie meets Hot Topic barfs all over my shoe.
The hotel is clean, the rooms are of a moderate size (not very large, but doable) and we were lucky enough to get on the floor with the Snack Machine. Heyohhhh!
My only complaint: no fridge in the room...how am I supposed to keep the liquor cold??
My one big plus: penthouse hot tub. Ok, so it's not really a penthouse, it's just the top floor, and it's your usual public hot tub, but I'll say this, after a hike up Grouse Mountain, you'll be thanking the stars above that sucker exists for your tired ass and muscles.
It's moderately priced, the parking is somewhat sketchy underground and our key cards decided to work when they felt like it, so that was a drag. Overall, it's exactly what we paid for, nothing more, nothing less. The front desk even let us borrow a corkscrew for some vino we purchased prior to crossing the border.
I mentioned the snack machine, right? Right.Listed in: If Vancouver can, so can vu!

Great location, considering everything in Vancouver is within a 20-minute walking radius. It's right next to the bridge leading to Granville Island, minutes from super late-night eats, across the street from 7-11, and there is a multitude of pamphlets and brochures downstairs to help "get your tourist on".
I'm not sure how it compares with the Best Western just down the street (I'm not kidding here), but we had no complaints! -

Great location and excellent price. Will stay here again. I got hooked on Best Western after visiting a friend in Europe and he always stays at BW. Almost all locations offer free wifi which is a big plus for me, along with convenient on-site parking for a reasonable price.
Only a few blocks from the Granville island aquabus, Yaletown, and right on Granville St makes for a nice location. There is a top floor patio with great views of the city and a good place to enjoy a drink. A weight room, spa, and sauna are also located on the top floor.
Sure, there are homeless people and beggars outside on Granville St, but what large city doesn't have these? -

My husband and I spent 6 nights at this hotel in August. The bedding was nice and comfortable and was great to have a small kitchenette. We loved the location of the hotel where nice restaurants and shopping centers were just walking distance. We also took advantage of hotel transfer service to downtown area a few times. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. When the hair dryer in the room was not working they immediately brought another one.
This was our first trip to Vancouver and we would love to come back to this beautiful city again someday. If we come back we will definitely stay at this hotel. -

Hotel is not in the greatest area of town, BUT the offer underground parking for a fee.
Room:
The room was huge with a view of downtown. Great for people watching.
Upon checking in on a last minute status my fiance and I were welcomed and booked a room for the night.
The staff was nice and the breakfast was awesome.
We stayed here in 2000, and I don't remember much, but I do remember the service was good. -

Great location, close to all the transit and bars. Great service too. We had an AC issue in the middle of the night and they quickly found us a new room and let us move.

The service here was great, the hotel was very clean and accomodating, and the availability of the penthouse area was pretty cool. I did not care for the elevators which take a loooooong time and are often crowded, and the parking garage is kind of a pain. I also did not care for the area it's located in, but I won't hold that against them :) If this hotel were in a nicer area I would totally stay again.

Great hotel! Reasonable rates on the rooms and underground parking available for a small fee. I love the top floor with the fitness center, patio, ping pong table and Jacuzzi hot tub. The location isn't the best. There was a lot of construction going on in preparation for the 2010 Olympics. If you walk around you'll find several porn and sex shops in the area. Across the street there's an old jazz club with live music and cheap drinks. The view from our corner hotel room was a fantastic city/highway view. I know your probably thinking, highway view? It was actually pretty cool.

I forked out more money than I had to for a hotel in downtown Vancouver because I wanted to make sure that my hotel's baseline wasn't total sleazy. Best Western was clean and I had no problems with the hotel or the room as far as cleanliness and service go. I was a guest with simple needs: hot shower, a bed and a good location. For me the beds and pillows were a little bit too soft and the air conditioner (which kicked on every hour at night) sounded like a prop plane starting up. Other than that it was your standard nice but not anything special hotel room. I'm not sure I'd go back, but I can't complain.
