I have stayed here twice on business. It's just off the Trans Canada Highway, and kind of clustered with other local motels and a few decent bar/restaurant establishments. There's a fair amount of oil/gas field work and people in the area. You also see a lot of British solders around here as they train at a nearby Canadian Military base. And after a 3 hour drive from Calgary through flat prairie (with a few Tim Hortons to change the pace), almost any place to say seems like a welcome site.
The motel is adequate, maybe 2.5 stars. Because of various additons to the original motel, you often can't get from A to B in a straight path, which can be disorienting and annoying. The rooms themselves are what you would expect from a Best Western in a relatively small city (modest and clean). The free continental breakfast is simple and adequate, as is the pool and exercise room. And in the morning, turn on the TV and listen to Colleen Jones do the weather on CBC from her base in Nova Scotia. She's also a member of the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame! -

Pros: Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Wifi access was good.
Cons: Room was small and drafty. Heating was nearly nonexistent.
I will not be staying here again.
