Review from Sonia H.
Certainly not the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed at, but for the price I thought it was a great deal. The room was huge... plenty of room for my large family. And the kids loved that there was a baloney with two chairs. Yes, things were all a bit dated, but I have to say everything was VERY clean and in good working order. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Great location. Parking was an additional $10 per day.

When we drove up I was a little concerned. The place itself doesn't look much like the website shows and appeared to be more of a motel than hotel.
The staff at check in was efficient, though less than friendly or helpful. It didn't matter though since really we just needed a place to stay.
We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. It was quite big and the a/c was blasted which was great on a 39 degree day. The room was very clean (except for the stinky shower curtain) and the beds were firm and comfortable with plenty of pillows. My only complaint with the room is that the shower did not drain well and I had to stand in a tub of water while bathing, which could explain the mildew smell on the shower curtain.
I appreciated the balcony and the location of the hotel. All in all it was a good place to sleep and refresh while playing tourist.Listed in: Wine Country and More

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Everything was so clean and their are tons of attractions within walking distance. The staff didn't seem to know much when I asked questions regarding the hotel (it took forever to inquire about extending my stay by 3 days), which was odd. Be warned: The Wi-Fi is absolutely horrible. You might as well give me AOL 2.0 or something from 1999, the connection was so bad.
Before we settled into this hotel I found out rates from the other hotels in the area... the Hilton and Holiday Inn are literally across the street. The Best Western Fallsview was $50-$100 cheaper. Big plus when you just really need a place to sleep and shower!
The Maid of the Mist and Casino are within walking distance... and Clifton Hill is also within walking distance, just a longer walk, haha. If you walk across the street to the Hilton, you can fake your way onto one of the free shuttles that go on the Casino/Hotel/Clifton Hill route. It's only supposed to be available for some hotels (basically the more $$$ ones), but I used it my entire stay, no problem. I also had to walk into the Hilton a couple of times right when I got out of the shuttle to keep up the illusion, but no big deal. :P
Best Western charges $10 a night for parking, and it is a very pet friendly hotel! -

Rooms are large and fairly well kept, but the building itself has an old and grotty feel. If you ever longed to be in a 70's cop show, this is the place for you. The smelly, dirty white carpet that adorns the walls along with faux wood panelling is right out of the Rockford Files. Excellent view of fireworks from the balcony as well as drunken revellers returning from the nearby casino and urinating on the guest cars. Thank goodness for the noisy air conditioner!
Hotel states it's motorcycle friendly, which I think refers to the attached tattoo parlour. It's also pet friendly, so be prepared to share the areas smallest elevators with whatever people decide to bring in the door. We were lucky to have two pet Labrador's on our visit. -

So, I'll start by saying I've booked many a hotel room on Hotwire and have never been disappointed, until this latest pick.
I ran the Niagara Falls 1/2 marathon this past weekend and was worried about hotel availability. I took to Hotwire right away to book something. The rates appeared to be jacked, as they normally are in cities hosting sporting events or large-scale events of any other kind. I booked Best Western Fallsview for two nights at a reasonable rate.
When we arrived, the hotel's location is great. It's directly across the street from the Fallsview Casino and a short walk to the falls or the Clifton Hill tourist area.
I requested a late checkout time. I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't provide this as a courtesy to guests requesting one, especially when that guest is feeding Niagara tourism by participating in a Niagara-only event and simply need the extra two hours to get back from the race, shower and leave. They charged $30 for this "privilege". Interesting.
Parking was reasonable at $10 per night, though it is outdoors and self serve (not valet). Niagara hotel parking is usually much more expensive but is covered, secure and valet.
Anyway, the hotel went to hell quickly after checking in when a) the gave us a room with one bed for four people b) the keys repeatedly did not work and c) the late checkout time, which we paid for, apparently wasn't noted when we were, again, locked out right after 11 a.m. on check out day. Very frustrating.
What's worse is that given the number of times we had to return to the front desk for various assistance, no apology was ever offered.
Finally, in the middle of the night on the night before the big race, there was a massive commotion in the stairwell, loud enough to wake you up, which resulted in someone being thrown into a window and thus shattering the entire thing very audibly. Then a commotion of maintenance people with walkie talkies running around our floor, etc. Not conducive to a good night sleep.
Oh yeah, and the beds were really uncomfortable.
I think that's it. Next time I'll stay at the Hilton or somewhere else I've been before and know is good. -

Stayed here for a night on the way to Bruce Peninsula. The rooms were very clean. Beds were comfy. The staff was also very nice.
It has a mini mart attached to it, which makes getting supplies very easy.
The pool and spa were very refreshing, but the sauna was out of order. They also charged an extra 10 bucks to park your car. -

It's not a luxury property, but our room was clean and spacious. And it's one of the most dog friendly places we've ever stayed. And when the pooch is happy, we're happy too!
