I recently needed to buy black chalkboard paint, yes black paint that dries as chalkboard so you can draw on it after etc. and only they had it for only $14 for a gallon. Wow! The selection is incredible. They have an in-house colour coding space and lots of staff to help. They're also open early which is convenient. What else? They have tape, rollers, brushes, drop sheets and free parking in the back.

The in house design service is a joke. A dark skinned male helped me out (I'll get his name in the near future), and I was under a lot of flack from my 'landlord' and the painters involved who were hired by them.
I had to get colors last minute a year ago and went back to double check (I think) and didn't really do much else, like test the paint on the wall, etc. I didn't have the time or the landlord would have picked any color. (Which because of this problem arising, would have been a better idea now.)
For whatever reason the moron who helped me pick the color picked a very odd (not even similar palette color) for the bathroom compared to the rest of the place. I have no idea why. It doesn't make sense.
I took his word that the colors would work together well as I didn't have time to double check. But for whatever reason he told me to do a really-really dark grey for my bathroom and a light Pewter for everywhere else except light blue in the bedroom. I have no idea why, the grey is not even a similar color (bright/warm/welcoming) as the pewter/blue.
I'm pretty choked honestly. I have to spend a few hundred dollars, maybe more to get someone else to paint it when it should have been done the proper way. I would paint it myself if it was a bedroom, but it's a bathroom and it's tricky. So now I'm out many-hundreds of dollars because of this.
I went in recently a year later and the same 'designer' was giving me flack during the process of trying to pick new colors, then I realized this is who he was, not someone right for the job. Why I went back to the same place that screwed me is beyond me. I won't make that mistake again.
The worst of all this is the flooring guy/painter chose the floor color that matched the dark grey, so when I get new painted walls (green) the floor may just look really bad. To change the floor would be about eight-hundred dollars, and four-six hundred dollars to get someone to paint the bathroom again.
So basically because I have to fix this all eventually, I'm out $1,000.00 because of this moron. STAY AWAY! -

Gomer Pyle works here. Yes, one of the more useless dudes sounds and looks like him. Completely unhelpful. You know they don't want to help when every answer is 'it depends' rather than explaining in detail and helping you choose. Unfortunately this franchise is part of the same ownership. Stay clear of the Gomer at this location and the skinny Chinese girl at the Dunbar location if you want friendly helpful service. I don't find the prices too rich, but I do expect the better service you'd find if you visited an American location.

I deal with this location a lot for work and I always like coming here. For mainly two reasons, I can phone my orders in and have them ready for pick up whenever, and two they open at 7 am in the morning, so if I am in need of paint even at this unnatural hour (and it has) then Benjamin Moore is there for me. I understand that they also have an in house design service that is there to answer any and every design question you can throw at them. They also have a full selection of types of paint, brushes, rollers, tape, and drop sheets. One of my favourite things is the convenient parking located in the rear and is perfect for a pick up and run occasion, no meters or traffic to deal with!
