If ever I fall into some terrible debt situation, it will not be because of the high price of education. No, it will be because I'm hopelessly addicted to home necessity stores like Bed Bath & Beyond.

Like, seriously. I genuinely find it bewildering that the staff here don't instantly recognize me and let out a hushed, "Father's home..." as I walk in the door. I find myself in this store very often.

Now, part of this is because I inherited a love for all things kitchen. Perhaps the greatest similarity between me and my mother is the fact that we both have an appliance or tool for pretty much any food thing you can think of.

Need to crack and separate an egg at the same time, while keeping your hands clean? I've got you covered. Want to process a small amount of frozen banana slices to make ice cream? Use my mini food processor. (Use my regular food processor for larger batches.) Baking some cookies? Don't worry, I have enough Silpats for you to bake continuously for about five months.

It should be obvious that a store like this is a clear danger to my bank account. Unfortunately, I have a car and no self-control.

I should get to the actual review part of this:

Come here if you're looking to get something for your home and don't mind paying a bit extra for it to not be Zellers quality. A dish rack at BBB, for example, can run between $18 and $80. (Which one do you think I own?)

Come here if you're looking for some of the most random crap for your house that you had no idea was an absolute necessity. Like the cutting board that folds up a bit to make transferring chopped up veggies easier!

Come here if you have some free time and love to fantasize about owning everything and how much better your life would be if you took the plunge and bought that $100 shower caddy. (THINK OF THE EXTRA SOAP SPACE!)

Also, come here if you already went to Home Outfitters and they didn't have what you want. They're right across the street and you never know, right?

Otherwise, just go to Wal-Mart or JYSK and be happy that you're saving a little bit of money.

(Pro tip: Sign up for the newsletter and occasionally receive a coupon for 20% off one item.)

I'm not much for interior design or home decor. But when I moved into a really nice new apartment, I thought it might be time to step up my game. I hit up a lot of stores looking for ideas and products. B, B & B (BBB? B3?) was near the top of the list.

Why? Well, let's start with the first B: I wanted to re-do my bedroom. Now, obviously, they don't have much in the way of furniture and... y'know, really? I didn't find their bedroom selection very good at all, to be honest.  Let's move onto the second B...

I did find lots of cool Bath stuff here! Aside from the obvious, they had lots of great knicknacks and feature pieces. The problem? I always felt like the price was just beyond my comfort zone. Let's turn our attention to the final B...

Beyond - well, that's kind of broad, isn't it? Not a bad idea to write themselves carte blanche when it comes to other products. And this is actually where I felt they excelled. They have lots of cool products that were mostly within (or near) my price range. The "beyond" products are definitely the reason I return to the store now.

Bed Bath & Beyond does a great job in glossing over corporate bloat with feel-good products for the home. Sleek bathroom accessories, ipod docks, bedroom gear and seemingly useful bits that you may or may not actually need-- this place yields to easy price-points and aesthetics that are easy to fall into.

The Dartmouth location is well arranged store with lots to look at. I've found It to be a tad overwhelming to get through, as they do run on the one-stop shtick. (Perhaps best to go in with something already in mind.)  As well, the possibility of going in for one item and coming out with 10 is the primary store strategy. (Be warned!)

I've noticed some great product here that is geared towards clean designs to serve both in function and form. Laptop tables, closet organizers, bathroom "shelf savers"-- some very practical items at practical prices. Of course amongst it all are the necessities of decorative bedding, household appliances, kid friendly (university style) furniture, and all the little things in between.

BBB offers convenience all in one spot. Somewhat fresh to our fair city, I'd say its here for the long haul. Its got fresh splashes to accommodate the everyday, and somehow keeps the consumer guilt on minimum.

Bed Bath & Beyond to me I though was a bathroom store but to my surprise when I walked in they had everything. Yes the majority of the store focused on bathroom accessories, towels and shower curtains but as well they had bedroom duvet set, pictures everything.

The Kitchen section was huge and great deals. Alot on sale and alot on clearance which was throughout the store randomly, it was great. I actually found those Yankee Car Sent things which are very hard to find and I got them three for $5.99.

I really do like this store and can see myself going back for shower gifts or even presents for the girls as they have some really pretty things there. Picture frames are beautiful. It is hard to go into all these stores and not buy buy buy. Well I guess I need a house first that might be a start.

    Great Store!
