Best hot chocolate I've ever had! Really interesting chocolate making equipment inside that is fun to watch. Owner is super nice and you tell how passionate he is about making quality chocolate. Can't wait to visit again!

Wow. Just, wow. When I walked in here, I expected to find the same old thing you typically find in a western Canadian tourist town... an uncreative, too-expensive chocolate shop that makes most of its money off of sucker tourists. Was I ever wrong!!

The owners make all of their chocolate on site. I don't mean melt down existing bars and shape them, I mean MAKE their chocolate, straight from imported cocoa beans. Their beans are all collected at a fair wage, to boot. All of their equipment is on site, behind a glass window, so customers can plainly see their operation. Their equipment is old -- we're talkin' a couple hundred years old -- and the owners basically traveled around the world to find each specific piece.

The owners are clearly very excited about their jobs. They like to play around with ingredients -- all fresh and as many local as possible -- in making new gourmet chocolates every day. Don't expect to get the same flavor twice! I've tried many, most of which I can't remember the names... things like strawberry and balsamic, lemon mint (with real mint leaves!), port, honey, sponge toffee, etc. They also have no problems explaining their entire operation to anyone who wants to know, and in doing so give you lots of tasty samples!! I got to try the chocolate at different stages of production to see how the taste and texture change with each different step. Fantastic!

I barely have words for how awesome this place is. Sure, the chocolates will run you a pretty penny, but damn, this is the best chocolate you will EVER have in your life.

P.S. They have coffee as well, but I didn't get to try any, so maybe next time!

This is an amazing place. Wonderful hand crafted chocolate. They roast there cacao beans which are bought from small scale sustainable non child labour farms. The finished product Is amazing. I think the best espresso chocolate I've ever tasted. They grind coffee beans with the cacao beans in the beginning of the process and the result is amazing. Smooth melt in your mouth chocolate that tastes like espresso and melts in your mouth like butter. No yucky coffee ground feel at all. Yumm
