I have to say, I am a big fan of Bean Around the World's coffees and I tend to go out of my way to track one down if I can.
Lately I've been staying with a friend and walking to work from Gastown and this lovely little coffee shop is on my way.
They aren't open very late and it's my understanding that they essentially keep the same hours as the court house, which is fine for me as I'm walking to work and needing a coffee.
The staff are super friendly and chipper when I role in at 7am. They have fresh, delicious coffee and a really good selection of baked goods. For $5 I can get a huge scone (that fills me and lasts until noon) and a 16oz coffee. Considering I'd pay close to $7 for the same thing elsewhere and it's a filling breakfast I'm a happy camper.
The location is really small, they only have a handful of seats but it's super funky (beside Big Lous) and I really enjoy it. It makes my morning walk all that much better :)
