This is the closest liquor store to my house, so I often find myself in here. It does have the best prices on liquor -- government shops are always a few bucks cheaper than the cold beer and wine shops and specialty stores.

The selection of wine here is pretty descent. They have a good international selection and many good value bottles. There are also bottles that might make nice gifts or suit the special-occasion shopper. They had plenty of bubbly on display for New Years Eve and they have a small selection of dessert wines as well.

The staff at the counters have always been friendly and at times quirky, which I like. However, I have spend a considerable amount of time studying up and down their rows of wine and I've never been offered help with my selection. I guess they don't have a wine person on staff?

There are quite often sales reps doing tastings as you walk in the store, so that's a nice touch. There's no better way to discover something new than to get a sample!

Nearly everyone enjoys Drinking Alcohol at home at some point. Sadly in B.C. to get the best prices we are subjected to BC Liquor Stores for this ancient commodity.

Why does the Government Still Operate Retail Liquor Stores?

This is one of there better stores when it comes to choice and display.

Staff overall are inconsistent at this store. Yes some staff are great but others ask the weirdest questions or made odd comments as you check out your purchases.

At most time you get the feeling the employees needs are more important then the customers needs. I always have to laugh when staff asks if you know about some marketing project that B.C. Liquor Supports and they don't give a (*)hit about but they may win some contest if you take part.

Private Liquor Stores with Provincial Regulation would give us better Choice, Pricing and Customer Service to people of B.C. who enjoy a drink.

Apparently in Vancouver can only purchase alcohol at Liquor Stores. In the States liquor can be purchased in so many places: grocery and drug stores, Target, etc.

Came only because I wanted ice wine. Unfortunately wasn't going to stop at a Duty Free shop since I was riding the bus back to Seattle, so this was the only place to go. There was free wine tasting which was cool. The store otherwise is basically your alcohol hub. Free parking in the basement so that's nice.

This store used to be the old McDonald's on Cambie. You would think since it is in this neighbourhood, they would carry more wine, and make this store have more selection. The hours are not the greatest, as I think most nights they close at 9 if I remember.

When you enter the store, you realize that most of the store is practically wine, with a little on the other stuff, beer and other spirits. The store, especially in this area, just seems to not fit in like it did before. Maybe because of all the new businesses around the area, they will redo this one to match their Signature lineup!

As expected on NYE, this place is crowded!  Tripping over people like I'm already intoxicated, but it's just because there's no available room to see the floor and know if you're stepping on someones toe or not.

People in 4 lines with arms and carts overflowing with booze.  Oh, our poor livers!  As with all BC owned stores, it's a little cheaper than the private shops.  The staff working today were friendly and quick.  I appreciate that they were well staffed on such a busy day.

So I wouldn't say this is my favorite place to pick up my libations..but in a pinch it will do...it's a bit rough...kinda like being time warped into a small town liquor store in Alberta but it does have the essential booze to get you want you need....the staff are friendly and the prices are per usual...I also like that they carry some mix like Tonic, Coke, etc..unlike many liquor stores around town...

Half of this store is wine, the other half is a small selection of beer and spirits. If you're looking for something specific, move on to another liquor store.
