Helpful hint # 45612: BC Liquor closes at 6pm.

Now you might ask yourself.... what do you mean by the word "close?" I don't understand. A liquor store that closes? I don't know the meaning of the word! Ah but the good news is that Thursdays and Fridays their open till 9pm! Phew! Now if only the other days would follow suit. I'm running for Mayor of Vancouver so that all BC Liquor stores shall be open 24/7! No longer shall we have to wait till the next morning at 10 or whenever they open to get our liquor on! Let my people not starve themselves of alcohol consumption!!!!!

Oh hey their closed on Sundays too..... wait..... WHAT?!?!?!?!

So anyways, this is the place to buy all your booze needs from wine, to beer, to any other type of alcohol BC Liquors is the place to be. They also have these AWESOME little mini carts to haul all your boozy needs.

I love your BC Liquor!!! *hiccup*

We awoke at 3:30 a.m. to find the ceiling fan buzzing with out the blades turning. That's never a good sign. I sneak into the living room and steal the table fan from our snoring guest and go back to bed.

Fast forward. It's 3 pm and It's 35 celcius/ (95 f) outside and 29 inside the apartment (!) and we're scouring the city for a fan. This is ridiculous! We've been to every imaginable store that could possibly carry a fan, and some that wouldn't.
We were informed by a Wallmart greeter that she has heard from the ether that there are no more fans to be had in the lower mainland.
    ri-i-i-i-ght.

At the Capilano Mall the temperature is a steady 74 and slightly less in the liquor store where I have just bought a bottle of red.
The cashier is sucking on a Slurpee. That's a bit unusual.

We've been to no less than 8 places seeking the fan by now to no avail and we're about ready to give up, to go home and eat our Salmon and drink our Wine and "foggetaboutit".

My Aunt called, they have an extra fan. We can borrow one! Maybe I should give her the bottle of red.
    Naah.
