This is second time I'm here for lunch.  They have a lot of selection and nice pictures on the menu, The foods came out almost the same on the picture.

We ordered few dishes to share:
Lunch special that included Russian Borscht soup, Deep fried pork chop with mashed potato and drink.
Stir fried Pineapple with chicken rice noodle in satay sauce
    Stir fried seafood Japanese ramen
    Stir fried beef rice noodle

Overall, the foods were great and service pretty good.

    * Higher priced with average quality HK Cafe *

They seem to be going for a slightly higher priced, slightly more upscale take on the classic HK Cafe.  Cleaner carpet, newer feel, etc.  You get the drift.

I ordered my classic test dish of baked pork chop on rice ($10.95 with cold drink at lunch - priced a bit high compared to some of the better options out there).

The cold HK milk tea arrived first and was nice and strong.  Photo:  http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

The creamy corn soup was pretty awful.  It was overly flour based with only a single kernel of corn in the entire soup.  It was like a bowl of flour paste with a bit of milk.  Didn't finish that one.  It came with a piece of room temperature toast that perhaps was toasted an hour or two earlier.  Ugh.  This part of the meal was by far the worst.  Photo:  http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

The baked pork chop was topped with a few pieces of fresh tomato.  It was served with a congealed sauce, which didn't have the right consistency.  I'm not a huge fan of having a "skin" layer, if you know what I mean.  The pork chop itself was a bit tougher than usual, but was nicely marinated.  The breading on it was under cooked though.  The rice was the best part of the dish, as it had a nice stir-fried char.  Overall an ok version, but definitely not worth a premium price.  Photo:  http://www.yelp.ca/biz... and http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

I won't be going back anytime soon.  If their pricing was in line with other HK cafes it would be a three star.  But for the higher price, it is only a two star.

The new address of this restaurant is:

    120-8360 Granville Avenue
    Richmond, BC V6Y 1P3, Canada

One of the mainly Hong Kong style cafes in the area.  Food is pretty good.  There's always specials... Lunch Specials, Afternoon Tea Specials, Dinner Specials.   The "Russian Borscht" soup is one of the best I've had.

Came here for dinner. Didn't know what to expect from this Chinese restaurant, especially when their menu has items such as borscht soup, lamb, spaghetti, Chinese dishes, paella...there is a whole range of different dishes you can get here.

I heard the portions were quite large so I ordered the lamb chops in a red wine mint sauce to split. I ordered the combo so that comes with the soup, entree, dessert and tea. The soup was flavorful, tasted like a tomato based vegetable soup. When the lamb came out, I was surprised to see how good it looked and even when I took a bite, it was moist, tender, juicy and cooked just how I specified. The dish came with a side of plain spaghetti (or you can pick rice) which wasn't cooked long enough and some corn and veggies. Dessert was a guava flavored jello which was subtly sweet.

Other dishes that were ordered included paella (didn't taste it, but my dinner companion said it wasn't that good), beef chow fun (just as good as back in the states, would recommend this dish), rice noodle dish (didn't taste) and pork legs which tasted like they were deep fried.

Overall, the food wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'd give this place another shot. Not sure about pricing since I didn't pay.

Out of the many HK style cafes i've been to, this is a classier place and very clean and well managed. Food is good and most dishes come as a combo - with a choice of soup and a drink.
