Great sandwiches. It's nice to have another sandwich/sub shop option but with so many different options of real meat that's slow cooked.
The sauces are unique but I often go with the sauce that's recommended.
So glad I picked up a Living Social deal that will make my next visit even more enjoyable. -

* Decent sandwiches *
Pemberton Ave. is a kind of industrial setting. But there are some decent food options in the area.
I hadn't noticed this sandwich shop before and decided to pop in. I saw BBQ pulled beef on the menu and had to give it a try!
You order ala subway on a sandwich line and then grab a seat with your sandwich. But they are a step above a typical sandwich bar with some nice little touches in the topping selections, as well as plating up your sandwich on a wooden board covered with checkered paper. The setting itself is also a bit nicer than a typical sandwich bar.
The BBQ beef did not taste smoked at all. I think it was more the oven roasted and then stewed in sauce variety. That said, it was very tender. I'll likely return but will stay away from their "BBQ" meats as it is disappointing when something is called BBQ but the only BBQ is being stewed in a sauce. The other sandwich options do look interesting, and I'm looking forward to trying their roast lamb sandwich on a future visit.Listed in: Which wich is which?, Vancouver BBQ

THE BEST! I had no idea this was here until about 2 weeks ago, and I've been there 4 times already.
Their pulled pork sandwhiches are to die for- I just get the recommended sauces. I tried the chicken once and it was pretty good as well. I wish I had known they were having a living social deal, I would have bought a few certificates.
They put a LOT of meat on their sandwhiches- I usually eat half and save the rest for the next day (or a midnight snack). So much better than subway... there's just no comparison. Great fast food (which should be an oxymoron, but here, it's truth) -

New cafe on Pemberton in North Vancouver called Basil's Subs wow they have amazing sandwich everything is fresh and full of flavor it's a very nice place it feels like a lounge with great music and gourmet sandwiches I was empressed and great service very friendly !!!

This sandwich shop / café just opened and we popped in to try it out. Really fantastic sandwiches and the service was so friendly. I'm glad they've moved into the neighbourhood!
