Barbara did a beautiful job on our invitation envelopes, escort envelopes, and menus. She is very low-key and friendly, and we loved working with her.
There was a mix-up with the ink color for our escort envelopes, but Barbara handled it with extraordinary professionalism and delivered perfect envelopes with time to spare. If I could, I would give her 6 stars for such outstanding customer service.Listed in: Wedding Elves

I needed to have two items hand addressed, so I asked my friend who recently got married. Barbara had addressed her invitations, which were beautiful. I emailed her, and she responded promptly with a quote, style options, and other helpful information. She was completely professional and flexible. I couldn't swing by during business hours, so she helped me figure out a way to drop things off for her in the early morning on a Thursday. I said black ink was fine, but Barbara had leftover ink in an exact match to our return address that she wound up using. Friday afternoon (the next day), the hand addressed, gorgeous envelopes arrived at my house, protected by a cardboard sleeve. I highly recommend working with Barbara for any calligraphy needs-- she was fast, professional, and her work is beautiful.

We hired Barbara to do the calligraphy for our wedding invitations, escort cards, and table numbers - all turned out beautifully and we could not have been happier. Her calligraphy was very consistent and we found no errors (which was not the case when we hired a different calligrapher to do our save-the-dates). Barbara was professional, easy to work with, and from our experience finished the jobs in a short timeframe. Hire Barbara and you will not be disappointed.

I am soo impressed! Barbara did all of the calligraphy work for our wedding, including transforming sand dollars into beautifully calligraphed place cards! She did all of the work in a timely manner and even corrected one of my spelling errors (because she had addressed an envelope to the recipient in the past and recalled the correct spelling). I highly recommend Barbara's unsurpassed excellence!

I have been lucky enough to have the pleasure of working with Barbara Callow for many events. Not only is she an amazing calligrapher, she is also a wonderful person and consummate professional. With respect to addressing invitations, Barbara has always gone beyond simply inscribing envelopes to helping edit out spelling errors, correcting addresses etc. I highly recommend her services.

I yelped Barbara after one of my Marin county massage clients ordered a years worth of massages with me for his partner. I wanted to invest in a nice one-of-a-kind gift certificate to show my appreciation in their substantial investment in me. So after looking over her impressive website, http://www.barbaracall... I called Barbara at 11 AM on a Saturday morning from and she answered. I let her know that I would be needing the gift certificate before my next appointment with him in 2 weeks, (it took 10 days). Throughout the creative process I found Barbara to be very easy-going and professional on the phone and I felt confident that she would be able to do a great job. Her reassuring attitude mattered much to me as I am in Berkeley and she is in San Francisco and the whole order took place over phone and e-mail. The finished product is austere and handsome which is precisely what I wanted. Barbara even sent two different models as she said she could not make up her mind as to which one she liked best. I cannot tell which one I like best either so I look forward to giving my client, who is a designer himself, both copies tomorrow so he can decide.

barbara is amazing - she does the best calligraphy i've ever seen and for the same price as the other calligraphers i checked in with. given her impeccable style and perfection, i expected her to be very pricey but she is a steal for what she does. i found her on yelp and was blown away. her styles are easy to choose from and they're all gorgeous. she was very kind to explain everything to me and give me ample time to make my choices. she was also very communicative via email and phone and got our invitations and save-the-dates done in record time (about half the time she estimated) allowing us to send them out quickly rather than having to wait. i'm actually trying to find other opportunities to go back to her just because she's such a pleasure to work with!

Barbara is fantastic. She did my envelopes for my wedding invitations and I am planning on having her do the place cards for our reception. She is extremely responsive and for someone with her level of talent, her prices are very reasonable. She was able to turn around my order in less than a week for a very reasonable rush fee. I have already received many compliments on her work. I didn't even want to send out the invitations because the envelopes were so beautiful! I highly recommend her...
