A great, specialized eatery filled with goodies. I highly recommend their falafel, pit, shawarma and desserts! The service and product knowledge was exceptional and the establishment was clean and freshly painted. Drink assortment was top notch.
Everything had incredible flavor and I highly recommend you visit Baraka Pita Bakery! -

Wonderful family run Lebanese restaurant on North Main St. The pita pizzas, chicken shawarma and various types of baklava were excellent. There was also a small grocery area which had a nice selection of items. The best part of the restaurant however was the staff. They were warm, friendly and very funny with great personality. They even offered us a few different varieties of baklava (chocolate covered and walnut) to sample. All of the clients I talked to loved and praised the eatery. Excellent.

Mmmmm I love this place so much. They do wonderful, authentic Mediterranean food, including falafel, pita, shawarma, donair, lentil soup and other offerings.
Everything is fresh and delicious, and a lot of the menu items are prepared fresh in the oven when you order. Portions and generous and the staff is warm and friendly.
I've tried the falafel, lentil soup and pita pizzas and have never been disappointed. Flavour, texture, temperature - everything is just right.
They also have a selection of amazing desserts, including to-die-for baklava in a variety of different presentations. They're all incredibly delicious and just soaked in honey (the phyllo dough never loses its perfect texture though.) The desserts are so rich, you won't be able to eat too much in one sitting, but so tasty, you won't want to stop.
They also have a nice selection of groceries and other treats.
The place is very casual - speedy counter service & a self-serve drinks cooler. Not much for atmosphere but still a great place for lunch or dinner.
I'm very very happy that this place is just down the street from me - it's a favourite of mine and I always enjoy myself when I eat here.Listed in: Cheap eats in Winnipeg

We did a take out here last week. I'd say it was good.Yeah, the food was good but I'd go to Shawarma Time before I came here. I don't get the 5 star. I give it three. The dude at the front was nice and offered suggestions. The chicken pita was good. I had fallafal plate with salad, humus, taboli. It was all good. I would recommend this place if your up north main or there abouts. If you're downtown and looking Lebanese go to Shawarma Time

YUM! What a gem of a place! I have been dying to try this place for a long time now. I'm glad I finally did and that it lived up to my hyped up expectations.
It's a small family run restaurant - super friendly! Nothing fancy, just good food! You order your food at the counter, pick up, pay and seat yourself. They make the food to order and the wait wasn't long at all.
I wanted to order a bit of everything, like the falafel, lamb kebob, spinach pita pizza but I opted for the chicken shawarma with lots of hot sauce. This lovely pita was jammed packed with massive chunks of juicy roast chicken, vegetables, garlic sauce and hot sauce (although it wasn't spicy at all) wrapped in this tight little wrap. The flavours just melded together so beautifully. The pita itself is not very thick, which is good and has a slight crispy texture. What a divine meal for $6.95!
I went back recently and tried the chicken pita pocket ($8.95) - it was a like a giant pizza pop but filled with way better ingredients. I dined in but asked for a to-go bag...thought I wouldn't finish it but managed it scarf it all down - it's that good. Try to have more patience than me and let the pocket cool down first. I was hit with a massive puff of steam when I took my first bite. It was filled with large, juicy chunks of chicken and spinach. I am in awe of how this place cooks their chicken.
I picked up some pita chips along with a small tub of fresh hummus. The pita chips were really just a vehicle for the incredibly garlicky and yummy hummus. I think the roasted red pepper hummus is the better choice of the two. There's also lots of home made baklavas (even chocolate ones). I'm not one for dessert, nor did I have room but I bought some to take home. The chocolate baklava wasn't overly sweet, it was just perfect, not soggy at all. Yet I found the regular baklava to be really sweet. I also tried this item that's similar to a spanikopita, it wasn't a phyllo pastry, apparently it's the same dough as the pita. It's called "fatire" - there's two types, spinach and cheese. The spinach fatire had a tangy, lemony, spinach and onion filling. I prefer the cheese fatire.
The person working there was very friendly, offered samples, and even offered suggestions on what to order next time!
I'll definitely be back as I am determined to try all the items they make there! -

Made it by and picked up two falafel wraps and some desert to go and headed back to work. The other person I was with found the hot sauce a little to hot for their taste, but I though it was fine. Take that as a warning for you if he ask if you want hot sauce, and you do not like it hot you already know the answer. Other then that the meal and especially the desserts were really good. Will be stopping by again when I can.

SO YUMMY!
It was a bit far out of the way, but a great stop before catching a show at Rainbow Park.
They have lamb, beef, shwarma, and falafel. The chocolate balklavas look so yummy as well.
They have a sit down area, or you can get it to go. It was one of the best shwarma's I've had in a long time! -

Very bad. I don't know what other people are eating. We got the shawarma plate and it was dry and the rice was awful. Never again
