I really enjoy shopping at independantly owned markets and meat shops and when I moved away from Main Street I thought this would be something I would have to give up on.... but boy was I wrong!
Now I'm not going to lie - it doesn't look like much from the outside. I went in thinking I was going to be able to buy week-before-they-expire chips and pop, with some sundries from the 60's ( you know the kind of store I'm referencing ) but was pleasantly surprised. The main course meat selection is vast - maui ribs, lamb, chops, chicken bones, stir fry stew - and the deli cannot be beat. They have weekly specials for higher ticket meats like prosciutto and yummy cheeses and the black forest ham is $1.09/100 grams every day. The produce section is small enough to offer a constant rotation and a wide array of items that are discounted regularily. They carry fresh bread, an impressive selection of canned goods and always seem to have deals on the things that I expect to spend more on.. like extra virgin olive oil.

Great neighbourhood deli. Get all my deli meats from here and prices are excellent. Statt is friendly and helpful. Now if only they would sell me a winning lottery ticket...

I feel so lucky to live a few blocks away from this place. Best place to shop for groceries hands down!! And here's why:
- it's small but has everything you need. Which means you won't be walking the aisles of a mega store or waiting in line for hours. I'm in and out in 20 minutes
- it has a very impressive deli section that beats those of much bigger stores
- the quality of products is pretty great and it's so cheap! Some of the best prices in town that I've come across.
As someone who dreads chores like grocery shopping, this is my favourite place to shop. -

Even if you do not live in the area, I recommend taking a little trip here every once in a while! They have great weekly deals, which can be handy if you need to make a quick dinner or are looking to save some money!
The deli is another great reason to come here! The prices are spot on and everything is fresh and delicious! I like their affordable selection of nitrite/nitrate natural deli meats, some are even made in store. The mozzarella is great for sandwiches and I like that they even separate the slices with paper so they don't stick together and break apart later. -

By far the least expensive, best quality, freshest chicken and steaks (particularly the ground chicken, boneless chicken breasts, pepper steaks); lamb prices are excellent, as well. Well worth a visit for these products alone. On the deli counter, there's often discounted, frseh ground Romano cheese (tangier that Parmesan), and lots of deli meat products on sale. Fresh salmon filet often on sale, as well.

Love this little market. When I'm not in the mood to go to a grocery store & still need some essentials.. Banana Grove is the place. Fresh meat (and frozen too).. veggies and fruits & a deli. Good stuff.
