While it's a "sleepy Sunday", several shops / businesses were closed, I'll definitely have to come back on a Saturday or during the week to shop.
This particular Sunday brought me to Terrace Cafe for brunch with the lovely ladies Dion L. & Rachel N.

A glance around the "village", I really like that there are several shops, resturaunts, a YMCA, & a theatre. Clearly, I've seen check-ins & reviews @ several of these establishments, so it was nice to put names with physical places.

Nice shopping center in the Ballantyne area with lots of shops and eateries to browse.  It was quite busy on a Monday so I imagine the weekends are as well.  The parking and traffic flow seems a little strange for the area.......a little congested I guess, a more open plan seems to be a better fit for the area.  I'm looking forward to return to more of the restaurants and Kilwin's!

I love a lot of the shops here but I wish they were anywhere else.  The architect responsible for this nightmare apparently hates Ballantyne.  This has got to be some of the worst shopping center planning I have ever seen.  The entrance and exits are actually dangerous with confusing right-of-way's and blind spots.  I have witnessed two collisions and have driven past many, many more.  At any given time you will fight with three other cars for the same parking space and be forced to drive around in circles down the one-way lanes and even the two-way one's are littered with loading zones and dumpsters making for a musical parking lot.  Sure, there is a parking garage and if you're smart enough to just accept your fate and walk from a farther spot - you're only putting yourself in greater danger of being hit by a car.  One of the other reviewers said that this place lacked a certain romance.  That's very true, it usually feels rushed if not just panicked.  They would have been better off leaving out the main strip of parking, it would have made for a better patio atmosphere, less crazy driving, less noise and a safer pedestrian area.  There is plenty of room in the garage but everyone wants to get their Expedition parked right in front of your sidewalk seating, what a view.

I'm a fan only because of the Theather and The Blue Taj - Though Terrace Cafe is there now so that should be a good addition!  For some reason it seems to me, the Village itself lacks some Romantic element.

Great selections of businesses, restaurants and bars in this "village" in Ballantyne. Located off 521 & John Delaney, you find anything from chain restaurants to local eats. It has it all. A YMCA too. The center of the village has great summer bands that can be seen at Mix at Six on Wednesday nights. Went there for one last week and was impressed with the size of the crowd post 7pm. Some great shops and boutiques located there as well.

A lovely, small shopping center to visit.  The grounds are charming and immaculate. I was staying in a hotel nearby for business in Charlotte and thoroughly enjoyed spending time at this place. I worked out at the very clean and smart YMCA and then enjoyed coffee and shopping at the boutiques in the center. We returned several evenings for dinner.  The Indian restaurant there (can't remember the name) was excellent. I am a big fan of this cuisine and thought this food ranked very high in my book. Would definitely spend time there again when I return.  Oh... There is a lovely furniture store with exquisite items... Check this out indeed.
