I'm going to sound like a pretentious fashionista (and I am far from it), but I hate wearing clothes/shoes that others have. Nothing is more awkward than walking down the hall at work and seeing someone with the exact same piece of clothing/shoes. Fortunately this has never happened to me.
Balisi carries a whole slew of brands from around the world... from Hush Puppies to El Naturalista to Tsubo. Let me warn you though... it's not cheap. Don't come here and expect to buy five pairs of shoes. Balisi also carries bags, clothes, and accessories too. My mom buys a lot of her bags here because they're chic, unique, and reasonable. They also carry a variety of funky leggings and stockings.
The service here is fantastic. Sales associates here know their stuff and are quite helpful when you're looking for shoes. There's no sense of urgency to buy shoes. Rather with their patience, shoe shopping at Balisi is an enjoyable experience.
I bought a pair of heels this afternoon so I wont be back tomorrow, but I look forward to returning next month to see what new shipments have arrived.

I walked in and immediately died and went to shoe heaven. Truth be told I need more shoes like a hole in the head (quoted directly from my hubby) , but I couldn't resist going in. I was immediately greeted and shown shoes that would DESTROY THE VERY FABRIC OF MANKIND... (and go with my party dress!)
He was super quick and helpful; pulling shoes off the wall and getting sizes to accommodate my fickle half size foot. I ended up purchasing a super cute pair of purple Vivienne Westwood sandals with a black heart (Lady Dargon). Get this... they are scented like my 80's Strawberry Shortcake doll (I seriously couldn't say no to that).
All in all this was probably one of my best shoe shopping experience and totally worth the trip to the Danforth. -

Kabam! Sex on wheels.... Hot diggy..drool factor 12. Not only do they carry The hippest shoes and come fuck me boots and well maybe leave those on sweetie..
The sheer pethera is well just warms my heart..
So the other day, credit card in hand..and what did I not need..Yes a pair of purple boots...Zing! PURPLE...BOOTS...must have..Well no not really..
Shoes, bags.. And yes I always need more of those....oh coats, hey is that shiny jewelry over there? Oh belts....

I walked in and swooned. So many pairs and pairs of adorable shoes, really cute and yet chic shoes. Not the sort of shoes you would need for the high life, but really wonderful shoes that balance the fine edge of casual and chic. In short, the perfect shoes for shopping with the girls, or a day out with the girls, or casual but still intimate coffee date with your significant other, or shoes that are sophisticated for the office, yet still have some fun and spark to show off your personality.
I don't want you to shop here and take my shoes. They're MY shoes!
