I love the people who work their - esp. Eva and Wayne. They both seriously rock - Eva is one of my favourite ppl to interact with since she's on board about healing holistically. Plus she's got a soft spot for dogs. :)
Or mine, anyway. :)
Produce tends to be fresh, good variety always, I almost always buy my nuts from here. Use your TVA Discount card for 5% off EVERYthing. -

I have walked by this place a gajillion times without even giving it a second glance, but on this fateful day, I strolled in (our of boredom) and am so glad I did.
Being used to heading to Kensington Market for my health food fix, I was delighted to discover this little nugget filled - and I mean really really FILLED - with all sorts of organic jams, veggies, snacks, supplements, granola, salad dressings, teas.... the list goes on and on. Really. I was particularly overwhelmed by their massive selection of chocolate. Which ain't a bad thing.
I managed to find some fair trade vanilla extract and grabbed an affordable bottle of orange-cranberry salad dressing on my way out. An excellent source for your pantry basics in an area somewhat lacking in the health food department. -

From the outside, Baldwin Naturals look like a vitamin store so I never went in but I am so glad I finally did as it is such a gem! This store is not very big but it's well organized, has a wide variety of merchandise and a small but great organic produce section.
If you are looking for environmentally friendly/fair-trade/vegan chocolate, this is where it's at. They have a whole wall of selection and carry brands I haven't seen at other places.
I was also really surprised to see that their prices are great and if you have a vegetarian discount card, they offer an additional 5% off.
