Very impressed by Baker Creek Chalets to say the least. My girlfriend and took a trip to Banff in the beginning of January 2010 for a little getaway. I searched high low for lodging, every place imaginable, but everything was either way too much or just looked sketchy. I settled on Baker Creek Chalets solely on the good reviews on Yelp, and it was the best choice we could have made.
Super clean, off the beaten path of all the tourists, right in between Lake Louise and Banff, and has great rates. The staff is super friendly and mellow and were always willing to give advice about what to do. They had snowshoes, skies & poles leaning against the office for anyone to go enjoy at any time. Plus a little ice skating rink on site with a little hockey goal for anyone to use. Most rooms come equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and all the needed utensils for people who bring their own food supply to save a bit of cash.
The place is great if you want something solid and cheap. Highly recommended and will definitely go back. -
