After moving to *gasp* Whitby, we had a full list of places to source. A good vet is definitely on the list. So I let my Googlin' skills run wild.
Seriously, I don't understand businesses without websites. That being said, I don't understand businesses that don't have decent websites.
I immediately crossed off any vets that didn't have a website (gosh so mid 90s) and focused on vets that have the following:
- multiple vets
- on-site lab
- on-site surgical facilities
- on-site boarding/kennel
Baker Animal Clinic had all of the above and also a handy online services and forms for clients such as booking requests and refill on prescription requests.
Everything from booking the appointment to the reception to the vet tech assistant to the vet was a great experience. They were nice, knowledgeable, asked really good questions and blew all our expectations.
They are the best vet clinic we've ever been to (and we've been to a lot). I won't get into the nitty gritty (umm my dog's anal expression is way way way TMI) details but there are things that Baker Animal Clinic did that other vets didn't do and get this - COMPLIMENTARY as in FREE.
A few days after the appointment, we got a phone call from the clinic asking if we had any concerns or questions and that we shouldn't hesitate to call if we did.

Bonus tip: The town of Whitby lets you purchase your dog license at the vet. So much easier than having to go to City Hall.
