Outstanding large breakfast with delicious, strong coffee and lots of interesting menu choices from traditional to modern fusion. The pierogies were great, almost as good as my old Auntie's. Good, friendly service too. Nice decor and some views of the harbor from the upstairs dining room.

After seeing this place the night before (our first night in town) touting its "Best Breakfast in Town" designation, my friend/travel partner and I decided to make this our breakfast destination the next morning. On a Thursday morning after 9AM the place was quiet (I think we had it to ourselves...I could see where if it were crowded that the place would feel cramped) and I ordered a frittatta (open omelette) and hash browns, while my friend ordered the granola french toast and a side of fruit. The food was plentiful and tasty (neither of us could finish our servings), but our dishes and accompanied by juice/coffee came to over $40...pretty pricey even for a pretty good morning meal.
Not bad but I'm sure there are other options in the area that are a fair bit less expensive with at least similar quality. -

This was my second visit to the bagel cafe and quite frankly, I'm very impressed. There was a large lineup at the door for a table and the service was a little slow...but that's expected for a Saturday morning.
The menu is huge with plenty of choice for any taste. The food is also delish! In closing, expect a little wait on the weekends but do yourself a favor and treat your palette. Also, best taters In town. -

Good stuff. But a bit low quality feel at times. I would recommend it but not as a regular place. Walk the city and find something different.

The Bagel Cafe is lovely because not only is the food superb, the service friendly, and the decor interesting, but it is also so comfortable that it feels like you can stay there for hours and no one would kick you out. In fact, they will tirelessly refill your individual teapots and bring bowlfuls of honey packets with a smile.
There are few other establishments that can pull off such a unique esthetic as an entirely wooden interior (including furnishings). A mash-up of eclectic decor and knick knacks hang from every wall. The large storefront windows provide opportunities for people and parking meter watching and are especially nice to sit next to on a sunny day.
The brunch menu is large and offers some interesting options (see photo). If you love calamari and bologne, why wait to have it any later in the day? -

A nice, big breakfast, but somewhat expensive. The restaurant is quite cozy, with wooden booths and benches. Very friendly service.
