I visited Dr. Christian and he asked me what I hoped to learn during the session. I said that I wanted to be sure that this wasn't all an illusion. He said that he would not only explain how it wasn't, he would also show me. I was sceptical, and I explained that I didn't have any pain, and considered myself fairly aligned. He proceeded to show me exactly where I pulled my shoulders forward, where I flayed out my right foot, and where my muscles were weak. And in the course of one session, showed me how to fix all of it. After leaving I felt better and more energetic than I had in months. I highly recommend seeing him.

I was recommended to see Dr. Shelley Adams at Back to Health in Vancouver regarding some back pain and arm & leg numbness I have been experiencing during my pregnancy.
She was amazing! I now have 4 weeks to go in my pregnancy and I feel great. My back pain is more than manageable and I am no longer experiencing any numbness, I am continuing to see Dr. Adams as I fee this is essential to optimum health! -

I spent about 2 years in denial about a neck problem I had and by the time I finally took action I had started losing feeling in one of my arms.
I sought out a Chiropractor I could trust and was referred to Dr. Shelley Adams at Back 2 Health who has been fantastic, I will admit I was terrified during my consultation that I had waited too long and all the damage would not be reversible but she assured me I could indeed be fixed and as long as I did my "home work" (recommended stretches, exercises, etc.) I had nothing to worry about!
Dr. Adams is great with her patients and makes sure you have the appropriate information to help yourself between visits and that you understand where the problem has stemmed from. She was also voted the #1 Chiropractor in the Georgia Straight's best of Vancouver issue and for good reason!
Back to Health offers much more than just chiropractic services, they also do muscle work (known as Trigenics) to supplement the chiropractic adjustments to speed healing.
She is also incredibly honest and will tell you if you are being seen too often (since you choose how often and how long you are seen based on their recommendations) instead of accepting payment for services she doesn't feel you need which gets HUGE brownie points in my mind because honest Dr's can sometimes be hard to come by.
The office administrator Karey is also fantastic and always makes sure you have upcoming appointments booked and will personally call you to confirm once any follow ups have been completed.
I have never for a minute second guessed my decision to see Dr. Adams and have always left her office 100% satisfied.Listed in: All Stars!

Dr. Shelley Adams is excellent. Whether a sports injury won't go away or ongoing debilitating pain causes you to function at less than your 'normal', I have found that the combination of Trigenics neuromuscular technique coupled in the same session with chiropractic treatment, the combo in which Dr. Shelly Adams specializes, has given me a lot of progress along the road to recovery. I tried traditional chiropractic too, but the results from the combo of the Trigenics techniques and chiropractic adjustments done together made for a much more favourable outcome. Shelley is a lovely, happy person and very knowledgeable about her specialization. She is flexible and has helped me get a set of exercises organized at home to preserve our gains during my treatments. You don't need to settle for giving up your favourite activities.
