Oh tax time. It's a troubled time. A time for math, confusing clauses and all other things government. But lucky for me, I found Rheanna's review in the nick of time. Farzana is on the ball! She gave me money saving tips (like tally up your own receipts), thoroughly looked through what I was claiming and then walked me through it, all in an easy to figure out kinda way.
It's a bit pricey, but then again I'm learning that the time it would have taken me to do half of what Farzana did, is worth the price. I think I spent the same amount on cowboy boots in Austin, Tx this past summer, and I've never regretted that purchase either! Plus the amount that I've been saved (equals a nice refund), and the short turn around time makes it all worth it. -

Holy shit, these ladies are fucking RAD! I suck at mathematics, and ever since the time i got so nervous doing taxes that i vomited, i had been kinda avoiding it. (I should clarify that i'm s a self-employed small business person, so they do get kinda complicated. I'm retarded, but not THAT retarded.)
I decided to bite the bullet and get them done before i got too behind, so rather than go back to H&R Block of Shit, i looked around a few places and went with Azim Jamal because the receptionist i spoke with on the phone sounded so sweet! I had called a few other places and the person on the other end of the line always sounded like answering the phone at the accounting firm was the last thing on earth they wanted to be doing.
And the nice receptionist wasn't a bait and switch! I had an appointment with a woman named Kulwinder, and she is the coolest lady! (I totally never thought i would say an accountant is cool, but there you go!!) I always feel so nervous getting taxes done because i know so little about it. I've gone to H&R Block in the past, and when i asked questions, i usually got the feeling i was annoying them as they gave short answers without looking up from their keyboard. Kulwinder was so nice, explained everything and answered any questions I had so well. I actually understood what was happening and came away from the process feeling like i actually learned something.
Since my initial appointment, i've also met with another accountant at the firm, Farzana, who was also super friendly and very knowledgeable. Just like when i met with Kulwinder, i totally felt like i left our meeting knowing a little bit more about how the big, scary world of money works.
My only regret is not finding them sooner! They're a bit more expensive than H&R Block, but the peace of mind i get, what i've learned and the confidence i have in the company is so worth every penny!! They don't seem to have a tagline or slogan for their company, so i would like to propose that if they get one, it is "Azim Jamal Co - We've got your shit together."
