Review from Josephine E.
San Diego, CA
My husb & I came here because we've been wanting gyros. As soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be a five star review. The owner was very polite and greeted us. The woman cooking our meal was also very polite.
We ordered two gyros & fries and a side of pita because I love pita! The gyros were delicious, fries were too. I've been craving fries and they hit the spot. Gyros were not greasy and they were HUGE! Onions were fresh and gave the gyro a nice crunch.
My husb & I will definitely come back to try their other menu items! -

I stopped by here to pick up a Gyros Greek Salad to go. When I arrived, there was a man behind the counter hanging out. I made a few jokes with him and he seemed friendly enough.
The gyros salad was quite large and had a generous amount of gyros and salad mix. (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) The gyros meat however were not as good as I expected. They were descent, but they were unevenly cooked and some pieces were simply undercooked. They had good flavor but their lack of doneness did not allow their flavor to fully develop. There were some nicely cooked pieces but inconsistent.
The salad was nice with romaine, onions, tomatoes, feta, and a few olives. The Greek salad dressing was very good. The salad also came with some nice fluffy pita bread.
If the Gyros meat would of been prepared more evenly through, the salad alone would of earned this place 4 stars, but today I have to stick with an A-Okay generously enough.Listed in: Affordable Middle Eastern &…

Suisun City, CA
I like this place because I got attracted to their storefront and Greek food seemed to resonate with me but have never tried it. Coming in, I didn't want to feel estranged by my recent switch to a meat-free lifestyle.
I asked them reluctantly about food without meat and they told me that the Falafel didn't have any meat so I ordered it with a side of salad. The food took a little longer than I had expected but it was fine. The total was about $7, which I thought was a little expensive. After taking my food someplace comfortable, I opened it and ate my meal and was very satisfied. Well worth the seven bucks. Their food hit the spot without that feeling of bloating.
If you want to eat authentic Greek food made with simple ingredients, come to this place. I'll try the $10 Veggie Platter next time. I wonder what Dolma tastes like? -

La Mesa, CA
Amazing! The food is beyond delicious and the portions are more than generous. I work nearby and I'm in here about once a week for lunch. I always get the chicken kabob & gyro combo, with rice and salad. It's $10 and is large enough to make two meals out of it. Everything is fresh, right down to the onions and cucumbers on my salad when I order.
The owner is always there and is such a nice guy. There is always the same woman cooking for him and she does a fantastic job.
I can't say much about the rest of the menu, since I always order the same thing. I can only say it's a clean place, with great food and family run. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious gyro or someone with a craving for Greek. -

I ordered right away and sat down. The place was a bit too warm, even with the front door wide open. This means I shared my table with a pesky fly but he/she wasn't too bothersome. The food took a little longer than I had hoped.
Fries were hot....in fact I burned my throat on one. The Gyro, which was Grecian Delight brand was delicious! I haven't had one this good in awhile. The staff was friendly and polite.
On the way out, a man, presumably the owner, who was enjoying his lunch and talking with a friend asked me how I enjoyed the food as I was leaving. I said it was excellent. He told me to tell my friends....so here ya go Yelpers! I told him how my wife had been executive chef at the old Aesops Tables in La Jolla and he wasn't sure he remembered the place. Definitely worth it... the wait time and the heat of the restaurant prevented this one from getting that 5th star/ -

This is my first time at this restaurant and I am impressed as I sit and eat my food as I type this review every bite is on point! I ordered the #10 which is the Caesar Trio Supreme Combo Salad. It comes with Romaine Lettuces, with nice flavorful Caesar dressing with Chicken Brest, gyro mean, shrimp and avocado, Parmesan cheese.
The chicken was perfect the lettuces was fresh, the gyro mean was great, but what really impressed me was the shrimp! Anyone who loves food knows that shrimp is either good or bad b.c of the freshness the shrimp was so fresh and clean and really made this dish come together.
I also ordered the humus, which was delicious!
If you are looking for authentic good food.. call them now! I will order from them again in the future! -

Los Angeles, CA
When I got here there were very few people there but the place had good ambiance. I liked the decor of the place and with it being a warm San Diego day the sun was coming in through the windows making the ambiance all the more lovely. The waitress was nice and was helpful when ordering.
I had gone with my parents and in our true family form everyone sampled from everyones plate and I have to say everything was pretty good. I had a chicken salad. It had a crumbly cheese, olives, cucumber, tomatoes, onions and it was a wonderful mix. My dad had ordered a chicken gyro (the special of the day) with rice and it was really good. The chicken was flavorful and the rice was tastie. My mom had a sort of hamburger gyro with lentil soup and it all was good. They serve you some humus with pita chips and that was extremely good.
All in all I had a good experience and will return when I want some greek food. -

La Mesa, CA
This review is purely based on service. I called to ask about their gyro combos. I asked what kind of deals they had as I would be a new customer (Grecian Cafe across the street is where I usually go and their food is delicious) and was ordering 3 combos. The response I got was more than rude.
I will never be eating here in the future!!
