Well, the deal is done, and for those following along ... this deal was particularly complicated due to some very tight seller-insistent timelines, and the fact that the building was having some work done, making some lenders leery. Justin made it happen with time to spare, with a great rate. I couldn't have been happier. I definitely recommend these guys, particularly for first-time and new-to-Canada buyers.
I'm friends with a couple who have used them as well, on my recommendation, and they were just as happy.

Meet the Business Owner: Mike A.
Mike Averbach - President and Accredited Mortgage Professional
Mike Averbach believes in building strong and lasting relationships with his clients. The rapid growth of his company, Averbach Mortgages, is only one of the signposts that he is VERY successful at doing this!
A native Vancouverite, Mike graduated from UBC's Human Kinetics program. He then went on to receive a post graduate diploma in Information Technology. You might think this to be an unlikely mix, however Mike managed to mesh his passion for fitness, sports and his interest in the Internet by working as a Product Manager on an online casino and sportsbook site.
After two and a half years, the 60+ hour work weeks began to take a toll, so Mike decided to create a business that better fit his lifestyle needs. He had grown up listening to his father make commercial property financing deals, so going into a similar business seemed a natural choice. In 2004 Mike became a licensed Mortgage Broker.
