This place was wonderful. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and an amazingly welcoming and kind staff.
So, let's start with the food. We had the ham panini, the vegetable panini, a bagel, an oreo milkshake, and the fondue. The bagel was, well, a bagel. It could have used a little more cream cheese, perhaps, but it was fresh and toasted perfectly. The paninis were fantastic. Oh man, my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Very, very good. We split the two to compare, and I would honestly have a hard time picking my favourite. As an unabashed carnivore, I figured for sure the ham would be the winner but after tasting the gorgeous roasted red peppers with cheese and veg I think I would have a really difficult time picking just one were I to go back on my own. The milkshake was luscious. very rich and capital C Chocolatey. I'm very happy we paid a little more to get a fancy shake because it was really good. The fondue was good, it could have been warmer (though in retrospect, perhaps they were just being especially thoughtful as we had kids). The selection of things to dip was good and the ratio of items to chocolate was perfect.
The atmosphere was lovely, it's a cozy, clean, and good-looking environment. The bathroom was spotless, the display cases had a lovely selection of truffles to salivate over, and the couches are comfortable and cool.
The staff was great. Really, really great. I can't say enough good things about the two that were working there for the lunch shift. Friendly, accommodating, and quick with the extra napkins for our little ones.
This would be a killer spot to take a date when the two of you aren't quite ready to call the night over, or for when you want to linger over some delicious hot chocolate (I tried it on a previous visit, yum! Great idea to have a cup with a built-in tealight to keep it hot to the last drop!), or for when you need a comfortable place with wifi and want to support a company that isn't Starbucks. I really hope this place prospers, and not just because I have the occasional late-night chocolate craving! -

This cute little cafe just opened up beside Sakura Island. They have coffee, tea, specialty drinks (ie. Oreo & Kitkat milkshakes!) and desserts such as cakes and chocolate. They have 23 flavours of hot chocolate, which is really nice - many options to choose from and makes me want to keep going there! What really stood out to me about it was the decor. Red leather chairs and classy design overall. The cakes and chocolate on display look amazing.
They open until 11pm everyday I believe, and they had a 50% deal going on for drinks that happened during their opening. I haven't gone enough to judge the quality of everything, but they did put a lot of effort into the place. The cakes are a little on the expensive side, though. They have free wifi, so you can stay as long as you want.
Their paninis are pretty good, and their pancakes are not bad - they provide both chocolate syrup and maple syrup for the pancakes.
I think they need to advertise more, not a lot of people know about this place unless they live near it and walk by the plaza. I tried finding a website but it just lead me to a fairly blank site that is probably under construction.
Anyways, I definitely recommend Ausanda : ) -

I wish i could rate this place twice once for their hot chocolate (not anything special) and once for its panini's (amazing). I am going to keep this short. This place is really not that great for a date. I read the reviews on here then took my gfriend right away. The atmosphere didnt even live up to a starbucks so i am not sure what all the hype is about.. (I dislike starbucks). I would go for the panini's though. very very very good.

Wonderful chocolates, 23 flavors of hot chocolate, coffees, banana bread with chocolate sauce, bagels, sandwiches, waffles, pancakes, desserts... Great little place that you'll miss as you drive by. More signage needed. Great cafe, good food & atmosphere.
