My traveling companion and I were ravenous after forgoing dinner the night before; otherwise, I probably wouldn't have agreed to dine in a hotel restaurant, which generally means an overpriced venue for unremarkable food.  What a surprise!  Our Sunday brunch selections turned out to be more than a mere plateful, but were instead two-course delights.

First came a plate of lovely lemon-poppyseed bread accompanied by a small but satisfying (and lip-smaking) mango-coconut smoothie.  A tart and delicious masterpiece for the mouth!  My crab benedict was perfection, accompanied by roasted potatoes and a small dish of mint-infused melon.  My friend's egg, sausage and toast was only slightly less heavenly, as the sausage was undercooked and flavorless. Interestingly, though, they brought her plate out with a nice portion of bacon as well -- maybe they knew the sausage was underpar and were providing pork insurance?  Don't let me forget to mention the spectacular view and perfect service -- not too intrusive but there when you need them.  The best meal during our weekend trip to Seattle/Victoria.

    We only had breakfast here.
Some creative menu items, like crabcake eggs benedict.
It was a little pricey, but very good.
Nice setting and a nice view of the harbor.
    Service was efficient and helpful.

One negative . . . no alcohol before 11:00 am, so no Bloody Mary with breakfast.

We walked over here from the Harbour Towers on a lovely rainy afternoon for some lunch.  We were seated in a nice, large booth overlooking the harbour that was the perfect place to watch people strolling the path in the rain.

We ordered some drinks which were a bit slow to come, but it was busy.  My daughter ordered a Shirley Temple that came as an orange juice with Grenadine and Ginger Ale.  In the States it's only made with Ginger Ale and Grenadine so the Orange Juice (which my daughter is allergic to) was a surprise.  The server was sweet and understanding about the cultural difference and brought her one made the American way.

We ordered our food and were promptly given a plate of scones that were so good my son asked for seconds.  When lunch arrived it was beautiful, but I felt a little like Goldilocks - my daughter's soup was too hot and my hubby's fries were too cold.  It took quite a bit of time for the soup to cool and my hubby just passed on the fries and went straight for the burger which was tasty.  My son and I were perfectly happy with our meal and gobbled it down.

Overall it was a nice meal and I'd like to visit it in the summer to see how the menu and atmosphere change.

We went to the restaurant at 4:30PM and we couldn't order from the dinner menu until 5PM so we ended up ordering a few appetizers. The calamari was a great start and very tasty with the dip. For my main course I chose the surf and turf which came with amazing, large scallops, and beef short rib. The rib didn't seem like a lot of meat but I found it difficult to finish after enjoying the scallops. I was too full to order dessert. The waiter was attentive and ensured that our drinks were filled and was very knowledgable about the menu options which I always appreciate. I would definitely recommend for a nice dinner for a couple or family meal.

Stayed at this hotel so, of course, had to check out the restaurant. Three times!  One breakfast, a lunch and one dinner. Food and service were excellent.

We split a spinach salad with chili shrimp added and WOW - no shortage of shrimp!  The salad dressing was so tasty.  We returned for dinner and had Alberta Beef AAA New York Steak, which was an excellent choice. The steaks could have been thicker but the flavor was sure there. They put us at a table with a lovely view, which added to our dining experience.  As I mentioned earlier, the servers were friendly and efficient.  Not only will we be returning to stay at the hotel but we'll be returning to indulge at their restaurant.

Romantic, view restaurant with very good food since Takashi Ito came on board as head chef in March 2011. Overall the food was inventive, tasty, and beautifully presented.  Chef Ito sources locally when possible. Wonderful specialty cocktails were a plus also.  One component of one dish was over salted and another was under temp, but the latter was quickly corrected. Our server was knowledgable, attentive, and friendly. The decor is too "hotel" (that is old) for this inspired menu, but that was easy to overlook thanks to the lovely waterfront view. The live music was schmaltzy and only reinforced that drawback, but we left having enjoyed it anyway as kitsch. This place has the potential to draw a hipper set than it appears to attract now.

Didn't get a chance to have dinner here, but it's the perfect place for cocktails and appetizers with a great view.

Splendid evening with our daughters on the deck at Aura.  The food was excellent, the presentation was lovely.  The hamburger was enough for two girls to split although they did not.  The desserts are divine.  Do not pass up the fois gras 2 ways appetizer.  Bill had the lamb and it was quite good.  The beauty of the surroundings, the night sky and the charming staff made the evening something special.  Our dinner was $190 for 4 without alcohol.

Avoid at all costs as the service sucks and the food is overpriced. Stayed there 3/25-3/27 - Hotel rocks - Aura sucks.

The best meal I've had so far in Victoria.
Granted it was a special occasion meal for New Years Eve, but I very much doubt they would have brought in a complete change of kitchen staff for this one meal. We'll be going again for lunch just to compare an average day with special occasion.
It was simply delicious, the creamiest tastiest lobster tail, the juiciest scallops, and a beautifully prepared chateaubriand, cooked to perfection.
The service and ambiance were first class.
Fine dining at its best, you have to pay for it, but you get it.

We came here based on previous yelp reviews for my birthday lunch while spending the day in Victoria.  Little did I know that this would be the best lunch of my life!  I swear, this chef deserves an award or just a really big hug :) It is not one of the hopping touristy restaurants, but it is on the waterfront and has great outdoor seating.  Between the four of us (girls) we ordered 5 meals because everything looked so good, we just had to try some of everything.  I think the waiter thought we were crazy as we proceeded to eat every last morsel on the plates.  The calamari is a must... so fresh and lightly battered with such great seasoning and a perfectly paired dipping sauce.  The prawns were an experience to the taste buds... absolutely perfect.  The chef is a genius at pairing flavors and sauces together and I just couldn't get enough, no matter how full I got.  It was such an amazing dining experience, and I dream about the day I can go back to Victoria just for the prawns.

Located inside the Inn at Laurel Point, this was an incredible restaurant experience.  Pricey, but worth every penny.  We went twice -- once for breakfast where I enjoyed the crab eggs benedict -- the crab was sweet and fresh, the hollandaise sauce was to die for...  The service was really good.  The next day, we enjoyed Sunday brunch which was phenominal -- not your average brunch.  They had very unique items to offer guests along with standard brunch items.  It's on the waterfront, so you get great views and great food.  I'd definately go back.
