I asked for the avocado chicken sandwich. What i got was a sandwich with chicken and NO avocado. How can they forget such a colorful thing that is also part of the NAME of the sandwich?

I simply love Au Bon Pain, they carry some great stuff. I really like the variety of sandwiches, soups and salads offered here.
The jalapeno bagel with cheese is just dead awesome, this is only place where jalapeno bagel tasted so good. The love the location, it comes handy to pick up the food when on the go via penn station.Listed in: Chain Establishments!!

Was going through Penn station today and before I caught my train I decided I needed something to eat. This was right there so I decided to go in. It was very crowded and the sandwich line was way to long so I decided to go for some soup. They had a nice selection of soup to choose from but I went for the basic chicken noodle soup. I scooped out lots of noodles and carrots into my bowl. The soup was just okay nothing special. It had a very strong peppery after taste.

I seem to rate everything I enjoy a 4 star. Au Bon Pain is no exception. I'm in love with their salads! Healthy, light and delicious. This Au Bon Pain is not as crowded as other locations come lunch time, but they do occasionally run out of the more popular dressings. If this ever happens to you, ask the sweet gentleman behind the bar for some!
The only downside to Au Bon Pain is that their grub is pretty expensive. Almost $8 for a salad, nearly $10 for some pasta. Au Bon Pain brings delicious together with pretentious- a winning combo! -

I needed a quick bite before hopping on the bus to Jersey and didn't have time to order a freshly made sandwich so I grabbed a pre-packaged Chicken Caesar wrap, thinking that I couldn't go wrong with a simple stable.
Oh how wrong I was....
I took my first bite: All wrap.
I took my second bite: Still ALL wrap.
I took my third bite: Mostly just wrap and one sliver of lettuce.
I didn't get any chicken until half way through the wrap. There was the faintest amount of dressing and absolutely nothing pleasant about this wrap.
The moral here is: don't bother with the pre-packaged foods. The freshly made goods are actually quite tasty so stick with them. I'm also kind of obsessed with the little red candy they sell at check-out. They're like a more delicious version of twizzlers--a mixed breed between twizzlers and swedish fish? Either way, they're delicious and are deserving of a star! OH and their soups aren't bad either, particularly the broccoli cheddar. Although I'm pretty sure it's 1000 calories per cup. -

I love the little snack containers that they have here. The cheese and fruit platter is always enough to get me through the train ride back home and to dinner a few hours later.
The rest of the pastries and food here is a little on the expensive side, but still good nonetheless. -

During my short trip to the East Coast, I stopped by Au Bon Pain several times as my morning-gotta-go-and-grab-something-quick-and-tast y breakfast food. Located in Penn Station, I can imagine this place is quite popular for the daily commuter. I enjoyed their pastries, chocolate croissant, apple pastry, cucumber and hummus side. Although this place seems to be always busy with people, there was never a need to wait long in line... and there's some seating inside for those who had some time before rushing off to catch their train or subway.

They let you customize any sandwich and they have a nice selection of soups. I usually get a customized black bean burger, yum! The prices are a bit high, but then again it is W34St in Manhattan.

You feel a little confused as to the etiquette of how and wear to put things but you eventually get it. Good selection of goods. Conviviently next to Amtrak and LIRR.

I love Au Bon Pain but this one is super convenient for many commuters as it is located in the heart of Penn Station. It's a chain so I don't really know what to say about it. There were plenty of cashiers that I didn't need to wait in line to pay. As usual, everything is self-serve.
