Cancer. The word that no one wants to say, but we here all the time. It surrounds us by touching those close to us, or maybe a friend of a friend. What matters is, I am sure we all know someone who has been effected by this.

I write this review to make everyone aware of the Largest Cancer Research Study ever done in Canada. Atlantic Path is the part of the study here in our region.  Dr.Louise Parker is the head researcher. I have met and have attended a presentation by her on the research and history of Cancer. All I can say is, if you are reading this review, please take the step to help our Children and Grandchildren.

There are a few Facts that we might not want to to hear:

Fact 1. We here in Nova Scotia has the highest rate of Bladder Cancer in Canada.
Fact 2. We have the highest rate of Cancer in Canada!

They feel that this is linked to our water because of all the arsenic in it.
Part of the study going on is for our water.

The reason for this review is to allow you the opportunity to help in the . research. You can volunteer to be part of the assessment. This involves about 2 hours of your time (one time only). Nothing major is done, I have completed the assessment myself. Basic blood work, bmi, measurements, etc. The ladies at the centre are great and will walk you through it all, you will even get your results of most of the tests, including the water.

Requirements: must be between 35-69 years of age. That is it.

So go to the website and have a look, if this is something you would like to help with then give them a call. It is upstairs in the West End Mall.

I know we are not suppose to be speaking of such things, but something as important as this, needs to be know for others to help.

I also realize that some might not be of age who are reading this, however, you can tell your parents, siblings etc. If you are from another part of Canada, you can take part in the area your living. There are centres all over Canada.

Knowledge is power going through life!
