Review from Tara M.
The ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen offers cooking classes and I was lucky enough to be in their very first class when they opened!
I love food, and love to cook it even more, so being able to go to a class like this was great.
The facility is very nice, modern, clean, bright and open. It's a bit tricky to park as the street isn't always free and the parking lot is around the corner at the end of the block. It's in the lobby of an office building so you aren't really sure if you can walk in or not, but once in the entrance, it's obvious.
The class that I took was 'Simply Thai' and it was a demonstration class. Demonstration means that you watch while they explain and cook for you and then you eat what they cook. (It was over lunch hour, so that was a nice plus).
The instructors, Sabrina and Laura, were delightful! They were fun, engaging and very knowledgeable and make the class well worth the $15 I paid to have my lunch cooked in front of me. We did a Thai soup and shrimp Pad Thai which were both really delicious. We got the recipes at the end as well to take home and try ourselves.
Needless to say, my experience was a good one and I have booked another lunch class for next week!
