Astorino's is a great place to drink, dance, and meet people your own age, providing that you're old and you know how to ballroom dance. If you've ever lived in a small town, maybe you've seen the station that only shows raw footage of old people dancing in a chandelier lit church basement, this is just like a bustling Friday night at Astorino's.
Not to be exclusive, Astorino's charges $6 for dance lessons twice a week, which seems to draw in the younger crowd, and by that I mean 30-45 year olds. There are partners of all ages who have decided to be romantic and learn skills that will make them the "cutest couple" among their couple friends, and it can't hurt to know that dancing skills will come in handy after they break up. At least that's how Jon Favreau impressed Heather Graham at the end of the movie Swingers.
Classy and old school, it's like where you imagined your parents going when they left you with a babysitter. It's always busy, and everyone is nicely dressed.
