My Mom and I were looking for somewhere different to go to lunch, so we decided to try this Italian restaurant/food store nearby. Arturo's has a great selection of appetizers, pasta, pizza and sandwiches.
It took us a while to decide what we wanted. In the end I chose a Turkey Gorgonzola Panini, with arugula and caramelized onions.
I had coffee first, it was perfect: strong the way I like it and even in the trendy type of mug that I love.
The combination of strong flavours in the panini were wonderful, especially the gorgonzola.
The service here was very friendly and I could tell that the people here love their job.
I will be going back to try their dinner. This would also be a great place to have wine in the evening. -

Great Pizza! Love the Pizza! Fresh basil, kalamata olives, really delicious sausage, yummy cheese. Friendly service. It's like the classic local hangout.
Go for a casual nice cozy dinner. Licensed resto.
Veal or chicken cutlet sandwiches for lunch are very satisfying.
Oh Wow, and the cookies that are André's grandmother's recipes! So Good!!! -

I was shopping along Beechwood one evening and grew a little bit peckish - hey, it's not that difficult with all the restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops in the neighbourhood! I spotted Arturo's Market and ALMOST didn't go in because I assumed it was a grocery store. Well, let me tell you, Arturo's ain't just a market! Sure they sell some European cooking ingredients. But, the heart of this shop is the fresh take-away or eat-in food they prepare. They offer a host of gourmet (or design-your-own) pizzas: goat cheese, roasted red pepper, spicey Italian meats, fresh spices, feta cheese!!!! They also offer delicious deli or hot sandwiches. I had the veal parmigiana and it was awesome. Joey Tribbiani would approve! They deliver to offices, if you are tired of pb&j - but you need to order a day in advance. My mouth is watering just from the memories!
