This was my first experience with ballroom dancing and I think overall the studio offers friendly and professional services. My first visit here was during a party held to attract new clients, which the management seems keen to do. With all the condo construction in the area, it seems like only a matter of time before the studio is booked solid with eager students!

I bought the wedding lesson package, which offered six lessons. I think the lessons are quite expensive; they are about the same price as hiring a pricey personal trainer, so I tried to think of it that way.  It was a splurge for our wedding, but my husband and I didn't regret it at all. We had a few different instructors over the course of two months, but overall I thought they seemed pretty competent and professional. Best of all, the instructors have a good sense of humor and are adept at making newcomers feel welcome and comfortable.

The only caveat I have is considering the prices I pay for lessons, it would make sense to have exclusive access to the floorspace. There were a few times where our lessons were shared by one or two other couples, which meant sharing music and floor space. With such a limited time to learn a new dance, it's hard enough to focus, so distractions like that can make it difficult. If I had been paying less, maybe I wouldn't have had that expectation.

Keep in mind that if you're learning to dance specific steps for a special occasion, you really need a good-sized space to practice outside of the studio. While the studio offers practice time to paying clients, it's hard to find a time where you won't be sharing the floor with multiple people. That might be a good thing if you're taking general lessons, but if you're working with a particular piece of music, you will probably want to find a space of your own.

Located in a storefront on the ground level of a condo complex, this cozy dance studio exudes warmth, charm and friendliness.  The entrance faces Bayview and parking is extremely limited in the back.  There is a small kitchen to the right of the entrance where wineglasses are plentiful to use to get a sip of water after your dance class.

I found that the instruction here ranges from ok to good.  All the dance instructors know their stuff and are very patient in guiding a newbie dancer like me through the basics of various dances like the waltz, rumba, swing, and so on.  It's just that some teachers are better than others like most things in life.  They really make you feel at ease here and for anyone wanting to learn some basic dances, it's not a bad place to start.  As I found out, dancing and learning to glide can be quite the workout!

This studio is easily accessible by TTC via Bayview Station and is across from Bayview Village.
